First you will learn when, where and why to move the rook after castling. Then comes a trippy Romanian pastoral epic dedicated to our favourite chess grandmaster, Elisabeta P, followed by a nostalgic tribute to Albatros based on Bobby Fischer's last words. From there we keep it oriental, like the origins of chess. Here is a gypsy charade that was commissioned by and firstly performed at the Evicted Women Fashion Parade 2013. In the end, although Bach might not agree, we do not hesitate to exchange the bishop for a knight.

Tune Of The Week: July 10
 
David von Mering and Carter Schultz formed Aer in Wayland, MA and have held our attention since their 2012 debut The Bright Side. Combining rap, reggae, and pop music, I am excited about how Aer will effect the modern reggae scene, especially with their crossover mainstream appeal. With appearances at California Roots Festival, a recent support tour with SOJA, and a summer of headlining clubs in Europe, there is no doubt Mering and Schultz will be big players for years to come. 
 
Aer’s song Above The Floor is a play-by-play of the decisions we make and the stories we create as we become our own selves. A drifting bass line floats the track, while the lyrics beg us to challenge the decisions we make everyday. Whether that is on a college campus or at home with our families, these two early 20 year olds push us to be aware of who we are and who we hope to become.
