Luke & I started this collab in Sydney at Turning Studios in between Stereosonic 2012 shows. We finished it for Ultra but were not quite happy with it then.

We finished last week with a battle of sessions sent through yousendit, arguing about the sound of the kick drum until the day before premiere.

When I opened my Tomorrowland set with it and saw 20k people punching the sky with their fist everytime the vocal says "blow", I had the feeling this was finally ready to be shared.

The Back Off, Bitch! remix EP invites a diverse palate of producers to try their hand at the Static Revenger and Kay original. Dim Mak enlists the help of Melbourne Bounce favorite J-Trick to give this electro track a much needed Down Under attack. Next up are two remixes by Jealous Much?, taking cues from hip-hop and trap music while keeping the house intact as well. Alter Natives shows off the true trap end of the spectrum, slowing the electro house to a proper hip-hop speed. Last but not least is the jolliest of the package, Taco Cat's remix dub. Keeping with the Melbourne Bounce theme, the “Back Off, Bitch!” lead has been made into the happiest sounding remix of 2013. The track may be titled “Back Off, Bitch!”- but this remix will clearly put smiles on faces.

At the start of this year I began working with Live City.
I played them tons of Melbourne Bounce the first time we met & they asked me if I had ever heard of Deorro.
I had not but when they played his music for me, I freaked out!
I unsuccessfully tried to track the ever elusive Deorro down but had no such luck.
I figured he had already had his head in the clouds & I almost gave up.
when we finally did connect, we laughed because not only is he one of the most genuine & gentle artists I've ever met, but he reminded me that I had reached out to him long ago when he was Ton!c. 
we bonded instantly as we are both lovers of music above all things & created two of the most powerful pieces of music I've ever been a part of.
"Supa Hot Fiya" was made the day we met in a fury of excitement.
I consider myself privileged to work alongside such a genius.
we agreed that this first jam should go out to the world as a free download.
we meet again this coming January to finish the other track we started & I'm sure he shares my enthusiasm for how large that track could be. 
we made the music we wanted to make with no consideration for who would like it & when I sent this song around to the peeps it gathered a wide range of support from Zedd, Bingo Players, Will Sparks & Kaskade to Laidback Luke, W&W, Martin Solveig, Tiesto & Showtek. 
for anyone paying attention, making music you want to make with people you want to make it with will always result in the best art.
again, I am lucky to call Deorro not only a collaborator but a friend.

Deorro feat Madeleine Jayne & Adrian Delgado - Unspoiled Perfection

So here's my remix to Light's And Thunder. 

There's many things about this remix.
I brought in a bunch of the older Ton!c sounds but every single lead you hear in the drop (except the sawtooth dutch lead and the krewella vocal) are all my voice. So the process of the sound design was a bit longer than usual. There's another big room drop with a progressive feel to it. I also recorded myself clapping, and doing a couple other loops you'll hear in the full track. 

Now the ending was what i was excited to do. 
I've always loved reggae, and ive been wanting to add it to some of my tracks.
So i picked up my guitar, put together some drum samples i recorded, added some more of my vocals recorded on my iphone, whipped up a vintage sounding organ, brought in the melody i used for the progressive drop with a lead that was also created with my voice, and tried to make the whole piece sound like an actual reggae band. The trick was blending it all smoothly and come together so it works. So i hope you guys dig it!

also, the reggae doesn't come in that soon, there's a full minute outro before that comes in, this was just an edit i did for preview.
