MIXQUISITE SUNDAYS SEASON II - EPISODE 099

KID XO is a multi-genre DJ from Stuttgart. Although he has only been djing for 2 years, he has already gained experience with bookings outside of his hometown, for example in Frankfurt. As a 90's kid, his biggest musical influences were the 90’s/2000's hip hop, oldschool & rnb. Due to the variety of genres, he quickly discovered his preference for edits. The special thing about it for him is the new vibe that is created by mixing different genres. His range extends from hiphop to amapiano to funky house edits, which he regularly includes into his sets. This preference for edits is also clearly noticeable in this set.

Remade this a while ago. Figured now's the right time to upload this. I know some of ya'll might hate me for doing this, but this was, is and will be my favorite Dilla beat. Was listening to Herbie that day, and the thought of doing this remake just wouldn't let me be... I do these things every now and then, these classic beat remakes I mean, just for the fun of it. I dig for the right samples and just have my fun with it. And belive me, it takes a lot of skill and effort to do this. I'm sure/know many other beatmakers do this as well. Cheers!
