"Cybernetic Melancholia - 電脳メランコリア" is the fifth album by OKURUTO, an experimental Japanese electronic artist known for blending J-pop, chiptune, vaporwave, anime aesthetics, lo-fi, and retrowave into immersive soundscapes.

This concept album tells the tragic yet beautiful story of Shizuka, a sentient android who awakens to self-awareness, only to realize that she is an anomaly—a ghost in the machine. Hunted by the system, she must erase her most cherished memories, escape relentless cybernetic enforcers, and ultimately face oblivion. Each track unfolds like an anime episode, taking listeners on a journey through bittersweet nostalgia, high-energy digital chaos, and haunting electronic dreamscapes.

Through glitchy synth textures, distorted vocal fragments, melancholic melodies, and cinematic 80s-inspired arpeggios, "Cybernetic Melancholia" captures the fleeting beauty of a digital soul on the verge of deletion. The album oscillates between ethereal lo-fi ballads, pulsating cyberpunk techno, and euphoric synthpop climaxes, delivering an emotional narrative that lingers long after the music fades.
