The message of Christianity is in the Cross, how Christ died on the Cross to guarantee our salvation and our place in the presence of God. Because of Jesus’ death, we are justified before God. Justification is the act of God declaring us righteous as we have put our faith in what Christ has done. When we believe in the works of Christ, we are justified before God.

The Bible tells us that the gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing, meaning that inevitably there will be people who disagree with the gospel. If you think a little bit about life, you will invariably ask what life is about. When you face the realities of life, you will ask what you must do to be saved. There is only one way to be saved; through faith in Christ. The starting point is calling on the name of the Lord Jesus because there is no other name through which you can be saved.

What Must I Do To Be Saved

Salvation is a gift to the sinner, not a reward to the righteous. Salvation is a gift of life; it’s not a reward of accreditation or recognition. Through salvation, we have forgiveness of sins, are justified, redeemed and are lifted up in Christ Jesus in heavenly places. God showed us mercy and put His love on display by saving us and giving us life through Christ.

Salvation Is A Gift, Not A Reward

The beginning of our salvation is dependent on God. As believers, we have eternal salvation and eternal life because we are the sons of God and we have the life of Christ. The source of what is keeping us is the power of God, the means is through our faith and the result is our salvation.

So Great A Salvation - 1 Peter 1:4-6

The salvation of your soul takes an entire lifetime. Progressive salvation is the salvation of your soul; you are being made free from the power of the indwelling sin. When we take up our cross and deny our souls, it makes the indwelling sin lose strength over us.

Progressive Salvation (Salvation Is Also A Process) - 1 Peter 1:6-9

Spiritual growth is not automatic.; it doesn’t occur with time but with practice. To grow as a believer, you must have an insatiable desire for God’s word. When you become born-again, there is a craving for God’s word inside of you but you have to actively develop it.
