"Welcome to the present 80's" - Storken.

Taking early influences from my younger self, the young Swede would continuously watch a Genesis gig on VHS recorded by his father while both parents were out touring Sweden as a band. He created a drum set up in front of the TV using stools, pillows, lampshades as cymbals etc and "smashed everything to atoms". 

The 80's sound was a huge influence for his release 'Lille Vals' released on Gerd Janson's label Running Back. If you haven't heard, it has the power to send any crowd into a state of euphoria - something we have experienced over and over again. 

We have been super excited about dropping this mix which features a delightful amount of unreleased tracks.

Funk — Disco

PIEK es una de las figuras más prolíficas de su generación. Su versatilidad hace que sea un artista imposible de encasillar, abarcando un amplio espectro de sonidos que van desde el House, el Funk o el Disco hasta la electrónica más vanguardista. 

La pasión por la música y por coleccionar vinilos ha sido uno de sus rasgos más distintivos desde niño, lo que le ha permitido desarrollar un criterio muy especial a la hora de poner discos. 

Es por eso que en sus sesiones siempre intenta sorprender y marcar la diferencia, compartiendo su bagaje con el público. 
Tras varios EP’s, apariciones en recopilatorios de sagas como Fabric (Londres) o Balance (Australia) y más de una docena de producciones para spots de publicidad, llegó su LP de debut, “Despertar” (Sincopat, 2017). El disco recibió muy buenas críticas por parte de la prensa especializada (Radio3, XLR8R, DJMag, FazeMag o Exclaim!) y el apoyo de DJ's de la talla de Laurent Garnier. Cabe destacar además que uno de los temas incluidos en dicho álbum, “I Saw You”, se usó para presentar la colección primavera / verano 2017 de la marca alemana Wella.
