James Keepnews is a musician, writer, multimedia developer and performance artist. He received a B.A. in English from Hamilton College and an M.F.A. in Electronic Art from Rensselaer Polytechnic institute. As a musician and composer, he has performed and/or recorded with such artists as Joe McPhee, George Lewis, William Parker, Daniel Carter, Kidd Jordan, Roy Campbell, Tony Malaby, Hamid Drake, Jason Kao Hwang's Spontaneous River, Ras Moshe, Matt Lavelle, Holland Hopson, The New York Chapter of Crafty Guitarists, Chapter Two, The New York Guitar Project, Brown Cuts Neighbors, Blown Woofer and Lick the President. His writing has appeared in Chronogram, the New Haven Advocate, Bass Guitar, Fairfield Weekly, Metroland, The Squid's Ear and Reign of Toads. He lives in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Goodnight Brother is the moniker of Hudson Valley Singer-Songwriter Dante DeFelice. He has established himself as an artist through simplistic acoustic rhythms and metaphor-laden songwriting. Staying true to the roots of Goodnight Brother as the band is a changing showcase of talented home-town friends, with members Jesse Barki and percussionist/vocalist Lee Falco as permanent fixtures. Goodnight Brother has just self-released their sophomore album entitled Not Happy/Not Sad and is currently performing in basements, front yards, kitchens, and garages. 

New York vocalist KENDRA SHANK and Portland, Oregon guitarist JOHN STOWELL, have been having musical conversations for over two decades, resulting in a deep synergy.  Their highly personal, interactive and original sound infuses a mix of modern jazz compositions, standards, free improvisations, and original material.  Shank sometimes takes an instrumental role, coloring her voice with electronic effects and live looping to create wordless, layered textures upon which Stowell weaves sensuous, harmonically inventive guitar lines. JOHN STOWELL's 40-year career includes performances with Tom Harrell, Lionel Hampton, Art Farmer, Milt Jackson, David Liebman, Larry Coryell, and a 7-year touring and recording association with bassist David Friesen which included 6 albums and performances in Europe, Canada, Australia, and the USA.  A harmonically adventuresome player and talented composer, Stowell has released 9 critically-acclaimed CDs as a leader, with festival appearances at Monterey, Saratoga, Telluride, Berlin, Molde, Montreal, and more.
