It’s pretty criminal not to see Super Squarecloud at the top of everyone’s agendas by this point. The quick-witted pop these four sport is up there with Deerhoof and Micachu in balancing sharp songwriting with a bright-eyed sense of fun. Bright alt-pop sparks Super Squarecloud last struck a chord on the Bulletin with ‘Godot’, a buzzing burst of energy that couldn’t be tamed. ‘Coffee Talk’ is a more subdued affair, filtering the London group’s twee-isms into a more restrained pillow-rester, brought into formation with deft guitars and sun-gleamed vocals. Making tidal waves on the Bristol Jazz scene, Molly Miranda King is an extremely vibrant singer with a natural talent and unique tone, drawing on Soul and Gospel to enhance her distinctive traditional Jazz sound. 

Since the age of seven Molly has owned a four track, allowing her creative imagination to run freely, constantly experimenting with harmonies and different vocal techniques and styles. As a result, she has developed an astoundingly acute ear, giving her perfect intonation and breathtakingly clear tonality.

Influenced from an early age by such Gospel greats as Lauren Hill and Whitney Houston, Molly has developed a unique voice full of soul, which continues to grow with rich textures, drawing likeness from more modern artists such as Melody Gardot and India Arie.

alt-J are Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Green. They returned in 2022 with their latest album, The Dream.  

alt-J are one of the most successful British bands of the millennium. Their 2012 Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello Award-winning debut An Awesome Wave, was followed two years later by their number one, GRAMMY and BRIT Award-nominated album This Is All Yours. Released in 2017, RELAXER flew straight into the top 10 of the UK album chart ahead of a summer of major international shows - including a headline show at London’s O2 Arena and headline performances at numerous festivals - and became their second album to be nominated for the Mercury Prize.
