Started as electroindustrial show, the ever-changing Antiochus continued as hardcore-punk-metal act and is now heading towards its avant-garde culmination.

PHASE 1 (1999 - 2004): Antiochus was conceived by Stephan Friedman and Mike Raskin in 1999, while contemplating upon the mystery of two handles. From the secret doctrines of the Seleucid Dynasty and esoteric writings of Saint Antiochus of Palestine Mike and Stephan, after careful and thorough research, discovered the hidden meaning. The operation was to receive a code name Antiochus and would relay the mystery to all who desired it in a simple language, no other than that of seven keys.
And so the first blueprints were put down and further development was to take place.
It was not, however, until year 2001 that Stephan Friedman returned to the final shaping and publishing of their idea.

Now the two handles theory or "Yadit Gdola - Meichal Male, Yadit Ktana - Hatzi Meichal" has finally seen the light. It is there for you to enjoy and take inspiration from, and most importantly, it is there to tell an unforgettable tale of the mystery of the two handles, the Sheka-Teka Operation and the Televik.

Their debut gig Antiochus performed at "Diablo" club in Tel-Aviv on 26.09.2003 alongside local electronic maven "Acute" and industrial masters "PVC". The second gig was at the legendary "Kosmonaut" club on 27.12.2003 and was appropriately titled "Anti-Hanukkah". The third and most memorable performance, where Antiochus really rocked the crowd, was at "HaTzofe" club on 15.01.2004, they shared the stage with "Gaop and Aboolele", "Acoustic Berries" and "Penetrating Crankshaft". With the fourth gig Antiochus returned to "Kosmonaut" club on 18.03.2004 and played a program with electro-yiddish cabaret diva Tamy Ben-Tor.

Antiochus band members included: Stephan Friedman - vocals, guitar, e-bow guitar, vibrator guitar, bass, synthesizers, sampling; Orit Nahari - vocals; Igor Maksimenko - synthesizers; Mike Raskin - vocals, megaphone, xylophone; Lev Bomshtein - percussion; Batz - bass.

Meadow Quartet came into being in 2009 in Gdańsk (Poland). The band tries to create the space, which can be diffused by influences of modern chamber music, jazz, film music and the most fundamental medium – traditional Jewish music. Meadow Quartet, at last, is an exciting challenge: following a path, which defies simple stylistic classification.

Finally, Meadow Quartet denotes four outstanding musician – four instrumentalists, each inspired by one of the above type of music, but altogether Meadow Quartet is four, synergizing in musical performance, personalities.
