Lanx and Nick Slater, aka the Drumattic Twins, have been a leading force in dance music since they first began touring over 20 years ago. Making their name as Shades of Rhythm, they ruled the early nineties rave scene with legendary anthems ‘Sweet Sensation’, ‘Sound of Eden’, ‘Extacy’ and ‘Homicide’ and performed with the likes of The Prodigy and N-Joi.

Since rebranding themselves as the Drumattic Twins in 1997, Nick and Lanx quickly replicated this global notoriety thanks to the massive hit tracks ‘Feelin Kinda Strange’ ‘Twister’ and ‘HyperSpeed’. They teamed up with the legendary release platform Finger Lickin Records in 1999 and settled quickly into the close-knit world of the breakbeat scene, working alongside global acts such as Plump DJs, Soul of Man and Lee Coombs.

From a string of releases from 1999 starting with top the selling "Feeling Kinda Strange" till late 2013 with their "Get Up and Dance EP" on Sugarbeat Records and 2 full length albums in between the Drumattic Twins have laid down a variety of music that have influenced the Breaks Scene and shaped it in to what it is today.

Slyde were a UK DJ/producer duo Robin Twelftree and Jason Laidback both with a well established musical background. The duo started the Slyde project back in 2002 and soon caught the eye of Finger Lickin Records a label which they called home for quite a few years and a place where they released their uniquie sound of Funky Breaks including the well known "Slipperty Slide". Gaining a huge following the lads toured bringing their sound all over the world.

Goodgroove Records made a name for themselves in the mid 2000's with the rise of the mid tempo funky scene called Nufunk. Collecting a roster of top new talent including Featurecast, DJ P, the Breakbeat Junkie and Basement Freaks to name a few. This mix from around 2009 is by the man who started the label Slim Goodgroove and is a selection of tracks that represented the sound of the label at that time.

The Breakbeat Junkie rose to fame in the early days of the Nu Funk Breakbeat mid tempo scene with a tonne of Funky Breaks tracks mostly released through the Goodgroove label. His tracks and remixes have graced other labels too such as Breakbeat Paradise Recordings and he secretly known to be part of the duo Second Hand Audio. This mix was a promo for Goodgroove Records for the year 2008.
