It's August, and we're ready to show you what we've got lined up for these hot summer days — Seasons of Groove by Jude Brown!

If you remember from last year, we released a stellar EP called Sunshine on the New Beginning by TshegoTMM & Vencer Café — two of South Africa's finest up-and-coming producers. That EP featured a remix by Jude Brown, which was a fantastic addition.

We're happy to have Jude back on board with his first original production for Cromarti Records. We believe he's certainly one to watch for his ability to create tasty grooves.

Jude is an artist of unique calibre within the South African deep house scene. His productions and DJ style tend to infuse elements of jazz, funk, garage, and disco. He's known for his versatility — from bouncy grooves to deep, sultry sounds. Whether he's working house floors or disco beach parties, his style always shines through.

To date, his productions have been released on some of the world’s leading labels, including Nervous Records, Salted Music, Papa Records, Sub-Urban, and Moiss Music. On top of that, he also founded his own label, Sandega Records, to create a space for like-minded artists.

To pair with Jude's original, we’ve brought in Jehan from France for remix duties. We’ve had our eye on Jehan for some time and were just waiting for the right track to ask him to collaborate with us. Jude’s track was perfect — and Jehan turned in a version that was exactly what we were expecting for a track titled "Seasons Of Groove".

In addition to his knack for creating deeper, tasteful sounds, Jehan has an exceptional ability to craft grooves with a classic flair — the kind you can’t help but nod your head to, and flare your nose like something funky’s cooking in the kitchen. We think you’ll know exactly what we mean when you hear his version.

Douceur de la nuit (Feat. Igor Pose)

Gilly is the owner of NiteJazz Records an independent Electronic Label in the north of England. He has been a DJ for almost 30 years after buying his first decks when he was 16. Gilly has hosted his own deep house nights at clubs in Leeds and Calderdale, whilst previously being part of Good2Groove who hosted the hit podcast Sneaky Disco and the house event TheGetUp. These nights hosted such DJs as  Ron Basejam, Inland Knights, Loz Goddard, Full Intention Victor Simonelli, Graeme Park, Tom Wainwright amongst others.

He decided to step back from Good2Groove and focus on his love Deep house and launched his own label NiteJazz records. The label  has two sides, first and foremost Club Fungi side which is Deep House. Club Fungi draws upon inspiration from the early Detroit and Chicago releases, US West Coast sounds of Miguel Migs and the UK sounds of NRK in Bristol and 20:20 Vision in Leeds. 

The aim is for sounds that are unique, with programmed beats, grooving basslines and original synth sounds to stay true to underground house music.

Enoki is the LoFi Chill Breakbeat element of NiteJazz records. Laid back grooves and chilled beats with samples to make your head move, easy breezy.

Gilly also have a podcast called HomeGrownSounds which is out every month.
