My friends, I am excited to share with you my live recording from my opening of Esoteric Festival this year. 
It was an amazing experience after two years of waiting to grace the mighty Ascension Stage with some good old-fashioned Acid Psy-Trance and Stereo Society stompers and to play the first set at this incredible festival for the very first time. 
The set was very well received by all and I enjoyed the hell out of it, was an unexpectedly busy and heaving hour and a half of morning and daytime acid wobblies.

KOFDADDY @ ESOTERIC FESTIVAL 2022

It was an absolute honour to play on the Sun Temple Stage, 10pm Sunday night at Esoteric. The stage was by far the best I have seen at an Australian Psy Trance festival, and the crowd was thousands deep. 

The vibes? They were electric! 

If you were there I hope this mix helps you relive that experience, and if you weren't there I hope it takes you on a journey just as beautiful.

I can't express how much of an honour it was to play along with some of Australia's most talented DJs/producers. Such an incredible vibe the whole weekend. Hailing from Melbourne, Old China is a prime example of the city’s vast range of talented DJs that has been quietly honing his craft since 2016. A style drenched from influences of golden era Hip Hop fused with Bass music, deep Dubstep & rolling Drum & Bass, his sets are packed full of dope track selection and tight mixing that steadily keeps a dance floor vibing.
Regularly playing at Melbourne’s infamous ‘Homebass’ & ‘SWRVE’ parties hosted by renowned crews Whomp!, Plasma Collaborative, and The Operatives, and supporting international acts like Zed Bias, DJ Marky, Chase & Status, Ivy Lab, Skeptical and more. As well as playing multiple times at Esoteric Festival, Archaic Gathering, Sub-Terra and Tanglewood Festival.
As a punter, Old China has had constant drive since 2008 to seek out and experience different gigs, parties and festivals both locally and internationally. This alone is a sure indication of the passion & dedication Old China puts into his love for music.
