Après Ruines Nouvelles (2019), 2ème album salué par la presse (Sélection FIP, un single sur France Inter...) cet inclassable, entre chanson oblique et crooner de poche revient avec Le Jour La Nuit Le Jour, odyssée folk existentielle, road-trip crépusculaire où Le Flegmatic se mue en homme inquiet.

We created Unique Records in June 2001 (now renamed We Are Unique ! Records), and remained faithful to our basic manifesto - to defend complex and original music, across various musical styles. To promote the originality of our productions beyond business rules.

Despite the ever-growing difficulty of being an independent label, we've got through, and we've found a faithful audience, willing to hear our attempts of renewing the so-called independent music. We've also met successful critic response (Les Inrockuptibles, Magic!, Coda, Rock Sound, Rolling Stone, Mouvement, Trax, etc.).

We Are Unique ! Records has developed in France and abroad, collaborating with fellow French labels (Another Record, Monopsone, Effervescence, and Drunkdog) and foreign ones: Chemikal Underground, Moonpalace, Superglider, Megaphone Music. We have broadened our broadcasting network to USA, Canada, UK, Japan, Sweden, Poland, Portugal, and (hopefully) more countries will come soon.

Our signed artists include ANGIL & THE HIDDENTRACKS, LE FLEGMATIC, MICHAEL WOOKEY, RAYMONDE HOWARD, INFLATABLE DEAD HORSE, OLD MOUNTAIN STATION, LION IN BED, SAFFRON EYES, MELATONINE, 0°, LUNT, HALF ASLEEP, MIDGET!... We constantly keep seeking continuity, currently releasing the sequel albums of artists who brought their first efforts to our label. We obviously keep looking for new talents - which is one of our priorities, with still the same everlasting spirit of sincerity and integrity.

Avec son mélange de mélodies ciselées, de franchise folk et d'énergie rock héritée des slackers américains des années 90, Old Mountain Station impose depuis plus de dix ans sa singularité sur la scène rock indépendant française. Auteur de deux albums, l'un éponyme (2013) produit par Kid Loco et 'Shapes' (2016), le groupe revient cette année avec son disque le plus accompli, 'The Summer Ends'. Toujours sur We Are Unique ! Records - mais désormais accompagnés d'un cinquième membre, le claviériste Nicolas Recazin -, Alexandre Cassigneul (guitare), Damien Chicaud (basse), Thomas Richet (chant, guitare) et Garbriel Vigne (batterie) signent une collection de chansons aussi touchantes qu'entraînantes.

Overblown is all about subterranean music. We aim to champion bands and record labels that we are passionate about and are overlooked and undervalued by the mainstream media machine, while still paying homage to the iconic bands and labels who laid and developed the groundwork for today’s emerging talent. Whether it is post punk, shoegaze, sludge metal, noise rock, or anything in between, we want to bring these alternative music genres to the fore.
