Coming off a heavy week-end and crazy party in LA (Fire Cracker 15 Year Anniversary) this past Friday, Joe went in HEAVY to make up for last week's situation. Even though he was on 1 hour of sleep he still managed to get in 116 tracks in 3 hours! Say whattttt? Music heals.

There is something for everybody in here. Lots of unreleased music + music that was forgotten about. Shouts to all the amazing people who tuned in to the live show. Every once in a while we like to make a post about the location of our radio listeners and it's always inspiring to see how many people are actually tuning in and the locations that they reside in. We can't even pronounce some of the cities/countries! Talk about worldwide. Lets keep it moving.

Last week we had this crazy costume party at our place with all the fancy party people in their even fancier disguises and I went as @julita-just! Boom! I had borrowed those insane mirror-ball-dancing-boots straight from the dancefloor. I had bought some funky'n'fresh mint green flares and my neck was holding the most fluffy feather boa while I was looking through my golden sunglasses. Yeahr! I was looking just like the famous disco machine, lifting up everyone, smiling, having fun and spreading the good vibes. Just like my disguise! And this is the music we were all dancing and cheering too. I hope you get da vibe. Jam on!

Over the years there have been a handful of artists/DJs that I have always wanted to come on the show. We've had Dam Funk, Mr. Choc, Daddy Kev, Hazel, Rhettmatic, Ta-ku, Coleman, Iman Omari, and many others as special guests but i've always wanted to have J. Rocc of the legendary Beat Junkies/Stones Throw crew on the show. Well, our timing finally aligned and he came through the Soulection HQ to drop a set and sit down with me for an interview. He dropped a 60 min set full of future beats, bass, and some other left-field shit. 

After that we sat down and chopped it about so many interesting things from his love for digging for 45's (Gospel Music), his production (that he keeps low key), his DILLA/MADLIB stories, and much more. J. Rocc is an overall tastemaker and one of the best on the decks. If you ever have a chance to see him live please go to a show and see for yourselves.

Berlin-based DJ and producer Siggatunez crafts warm, groove-driven house music with deep roots in soul, funk, and golden-era hip-hop. Originally from Görlitz, Germany, his early influences included icons like Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, as well as Wu-Tang Clan and Nas-shaping a unique blend of sample-heavy textures and rhythmic finesse.

He began DJing in Frankfurt in 2008 and moved to Berlin in 2012, launching the vinyl-focused label Tieffrequent soon after. The label showcases a deep, analog-rich house with a raw aesthetic. In 2020, he introduced Gooey Editz, a playful rework series, and later expanded into original productions via Gooey Traxx

Siggatunez performs with a fully analog live setup-MPC1000, SP404mk2, DSI Tetra-delivering hardware-based sets full of soulful basslines and tight rhythms. Releases like Urban Camouflage, Live Cutz EP, and remixes for Rayne and MJB have earned him a loyal following in Europe’s underground scene.

Whether behind the decks or onstage with machines, Siggatunez champions a heartfelt, analog approach to club music-soulful, percussive, and always dancefloor-ready.

Oh, du Süße! Was hast du nur gemacht? Du hast gesagt, es dauert nicht lang - wir können gleich wieder chillen. Von wegen. Jetzt hab ich Muskelkater, kann kaum noch die Treppen steigen und hab mein Lieblingsshirt durchgeschwitzt. Das wollte ich doch morgen noch zum "Ich-mag-heimlich-Disco"-Stammtisch anziehen. Aber vielleicht haben ja die anderen auch alle diesen umwerfenden Mix von @Siggatunez gehört und es geht ihnen genauso wie mir. Ich hatte ja keine Ahnung, was auf dem Label @tieffrequent so abgeht, und dass ihr Chef solche knallharten Grooves rausfeuert. Eigentlich kann ich ja nicht mehr, aber was soll's - ich hör ihn trotzdem nochmal. Die Discokugel dreht sich noch, warum ich dann nicht auch?!

Das Gute-Laune-Grüppchen der leipziger Schallplatten- und Digitalunterhaltungsplattform Old New Records hat sich im Sommer 2016 erstmals zum gegenseitigen Wangen Kneifen & Popo Tätscheln getroffen und will wohl auch so schnell nicht damit aufhören.

Die Mixed-Pickles-Packung der hiesigen Undergroundszene besteht aus alten und neuen Freunden, die sich nicht so recht auf einen einzigen Stil festlegen wollen und sich daher die Intellektuellenparole "Fxxk Genres" unters Logo geschrieben haben. Geflunkert wird aber doch, denn die Grenzen werden ganz klar um melodische Beatz und Grooves gezogen, wie die ersten digitalen und analogen Veröffentlichungen zeigen. Dabei blickt die Old-New-Records-Gang in Ringelreihe Richtung Himmelszelt und fröhnt den Dingen, die da noch kommen mögen.
