If you are over the age of 30, chances are that you have either seen Ellis Dee DJ, have owned one of his tapes, or were cruising your local high street in your mate’s car, windows down, listening to his tapes!

Ellis Dee is a true innovator, either as a solo performer or as a part of the legendary Rhythm Section alongside Rennie Pilgrem, Richie T and Nick Scott. Ellis Dee was the original raver who laid the foundations for the dance music we all take for granted these days. Without his tireless work and creativity the history of club music in the UK could well be very different.

But now its 2014, and club music is big business, the pop scene is dependent upon dance music, its bringing life back into the bland. But whilst many reputable producers are tarnishing their name by chasing the money train, Ellis Dee has gone back to his roots, to what he enjoys, and what makes him happy.

Here he hooks up with his mate DJ Twista alongside the incredible vocal talents of Bristol’s Kat Marsh and Marie Louise from Birmingham.
