Singer/songwriter and producer Makeda Iroquois has been cultivating her sound for quite some time. Hempstead, L.I. born/Charlotte, NC raised, Makeda's music reflects a broadly cultured upbringing. Her more recent work (both released and unreleased) has gone through the high fi's and low fi's of southern and northern influence. With a love for early 90s hip hop, jazz, world music and a foundation of Native American, African (Geechee Gullah), and Bermudian ancestry, Makeda's music displays the unique perspective that she brings to her collaborations, her production and her songwriting.
