1f1n1ty: The moment I heard Miyolophone's amazing composition and journey-like style, I knew a collab would happen eventually. It was inevitable. Frankly this has been one of the most fun collabs I've ever done. Can we trade soundsets for a day, Miyo? :P

Miyolophone: 1f1n1ty made me keep the poem out of the original Chips entry, which was sad, but he put it here without me even asking him to, which makes it better. (Oh also this was lots of fun to help with and I'm super happy with it and thanks for working with me man)

Eclipse is a celebration of space exploration and an ode to the endless mysteries of the universe. I've aimed to make a loud and dramatic album that also respects silence and momentum. Most of these songs have a different flavour than my usual sounds and I feel that I've worked through some insecurities and grown in confidence in regards to what meganeko can be.

Made for Audio Secret Santa '20. An electronic-orchestral hybrid that speaks to the stoppage of time.

I'm assigning post hoc a metacommentary meaning to this track that ties into one of my previous singles, Zo (https://soundcloud.com/1f1n1ty/zo-1). 2020 has been a crazy experience and I think the songs, side by side, resonate strongly with how my perspective on the state of life has changed.

Some musical notes about Nadir:
- Miyolophone and sleepless helped me with renders of various orchestral sounds. Cool people they are! You should witness their coolness yourself someday
- The sonic progression of the piece is constructed out of about six independent ideas that I figured out how to combine in a meaningful way.
- The crazy section at around 2.25 minutes in has 11-let swing with a 6-5 subdivision, which I didn't plan for when I was writing it but it felt like the appropriate timing
- I've had the main melody for this song in my head for a while so I'm happy that I was able to get it out in a way that I feel like does it some justice. Obviously I'll feel differently about that in a year when I improve some more
