The Chapin Sisters, Lily & Abigail Chapin are known for pristine harmonies and haunting melodies that have gained comparisons to sixties girl groups, Appalachian family bands, and sister acts of old. Their songs and arrangements combine vocal elements of pop, blues, folk, and psychedelic rock.

For their forthcoming new album, Two – Lily and Abigail, along with co-producers Jesse Lee (Gang Gang Dance) and Louie Stephens (Rooney) retreated to an old family farm in rural New Jersey where they put-together a studio and recorded in a converted cabin, over-looking woods and field, to gain inspiration from tree frogs and wild deer, crickets and waterbugs.  Two incorporates lush keyboards, layered percussion, electric guitars and warm, rich vocals tones, in addition to acoustic guitar and three part-harmonies.  It will be released in North America (US & Canada) on September 14th and in the UK/Europe in January 2011.

This Summer, Lily & Abigail will be touring with She & Him (Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward) as members of their band and opening many of the shows as The Chapin Sisters.  In June 2010, the Sisters released a collection of live-in-studio tracks – Oh, Hear The Wind Blow - as a limited edition tour EP that they recorded in spring 2010 at The Boat in Los Angeles, CA, produced by Dan Horne (Mezzanine Owls, Music Go Music, Lilys, Beachwood Sparks), a member of their live band The Brothers Brothers which also includes with their live band  Louie Stephens (Rooney), and Aaron Sperske (Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Lilys, Beachwood Sparks).

Their first full-length record, Lake Bottom LP was collaboration with their other sister, Jessica Craven, who has sense taken a leave of absence to spend time with her new baby. Produced by Thom Monahan (Devendra Bandhart, Vetiver, Lavender Diamond) and Mike Daly (Whiskeytown, Grace Potter), the record was critically acclaimed and was named on of the LA Weekly’s Top Ten Records of 2008.  It is being released in the UK/Europe this Summer.

Abigail and Lily were born in Brooklyn Heights, New York. Their father, 3-time Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Tom Chapin, along with their grandfather Jim Chapin (jazz drummer and educator) and the legacy of their uncle, singer-songwriter Harry Chapin (who passed away when the girls were infants), created an environment wherein music held an almost sacred purpose, whether it be for family, community, or humanitarian purposes.  Abigail and Lily attended a Waldorf school in New York’s Hudson Valley whose arts-based education added training in orchestral music, choir, and music theory. The complicated harmonies of Shape-note songs and Gregorian chants were instilled in them at an early age. Additionally, throughout elementary and high school, they sang on over a dozen studio albums for various artists.
 
Since graduating from college and pursuing music professionally, the sisters have recorded on albums by Vetiver, Lavender Diamond, Gary Louris (Jahawks), Ann Magnusen, Will Oldham and Marie Sioux, etc.

Cab Canavaral is one of the pioneers of the viennese Swing/Electroswing Scene. He started to DJ in the year of 2007. He founded and hosted the „KLUB SHWING“ at Ost Klub. At first his sets contained traditional swing and Neoswing for Lindy Hop dancers. 2011 he digs deeper and deeper in the new and emerging genre called Electro Swing. He was invited to join the team of www.electro-swing.com one of the most relevant website for this genre. His productions and remixes received very positive feedback.  His tracks can be found on several compilations: Electro Swing Revolution Vol.2 & 3, Swing it!!! Vol.1 and Electro Swing VII, Ludwig Sound Boutique and ESE. He remixed and collaborated with Bart & Baker, Skeewiff, Extra Medium, Sound Nomaden, Grant Lazlo and many more .
In his DJ Sets he combines his high musical knowledge with his skills as saxplayer. For this reason his DJ-Sets become a real live-performance! As DJ and Saxman he has played very sucessfull many places abroad (Berlin, Dubai, Stockholm, Bukarest, Madrid, Geneva...)  and in Austria  (Flex, Pratersauna, Ost Klub, Leopold, Rote Bar, Hangar7,...)
