Roisin started playing the tin whistle at the age of seven and quickly developed a love and passion for the instrument, although Roisin plays the flute, fiddle and pipes, anyone who knows her, knows that she has a connection with the tin-whistle which surpasses everything else. Roisin gained an All Ireland title on the Whislte and In 2011,she won another title, that of Young musician 'n the Bann, not only did she wow the audience with her astonishing playing but with her deep knowledge and understanding of her tunes. In 2011 Roisin also completed her Tin Whistle diploma from the London College of Music (DipLCM). 

Roisin began learning the tin whistle from her mother but then moved to the renowned musician and teacher Patrick Davey, Belfast.Patricks skills in composition can also be heard in her CD, as he composed two very special tunes just for Roisin (Harmony House and of course The Maid of Moneygran)
