I decided to put online for free the "unreleased" LSG album. It created this in late 2002 for beeing released in late 2003. Then the distribution went down and the situation was unpredictable, so the decision was to start with the new distributor releasing a "best of LSG" album and see how things go...but this is a different story...

As i said this was done late in 2002 - so not in any way representing what i am doing right now. This is more a tribute and a big thank you to the fans of the LSG project and - at least for me now - a way to close the door to this project and focus even more on what i am doing now. Some people might say that the old stuff i have done was better than what i do right now. But please think about how things developed...
When i started the LSG project trance as a name for a style wasnt established and right now to me the word trance does have a really bad meaning and only stands for a certain commercial and non-developing style that i am glad finally managed to get less attention. I tried to stay ahead of times but in the big times of this project it was hard to always keep that in mind. So i can only ask to always keep your ears up for new styles and artists and dont block something new by just thinking that the best happend in the past already.
I personally think that at the moment the greatest thing about the music scene is that a lot is possible again like in the early days. The "we are cool - this is crap" way of thinking is not as big as it was some 5 to 8 years ago and all kind of different styles and influences can work on one label or even in one track again...
so like back then its just about good music.

This is a recording from my live performance at Tächno Fest in Bayside Jenny in Osaka from April 24th 1998.
I played there with Takkyu Ishino, Toby Izui and Westbam.
I really like the trippyness and energy of this track.
All vocals performed live through a Boss VT-1 effect.

Alexey Lisin marks his full debut on Bonzai Progressive with Vesna and enlists the fantastic vocal talents of Ange along the way. Not quite his first appearance as he got the Zen remix treatment on Audio Noir's superb album, Now & Zen. Having burst onto the scene back in November 2014 with the awesome Moscow Calling, and following that up with the equally impressive Desolation at the start of January 2015, we've certainly got a taste of this guys musical prowess on the Techno front. With a shifting towards progressive house on his Baroque Records release, Siberia, we are seeing a different side to this up and coming producer, plenty more to come no doubt so stay tuned. Popular vocalist Ange returns to Bonzai after her debut appearance with Yuriy From Russia back in 2013 on Do You Feel. Over the last several years she has worked with a whole host of top class artists with her distinct vocal style and her talents have been showcased on many labels worldwide.

The Original Mix takes us deep into progressive with a beautifully hypnotic vibe that really captivates with the sultry vocals of Ange. Tight percussions and solid drums deliver a brilliant rhythmic vibe that will definitely have the floors shakin. The deep basses sit back teasingly and allow the synth elements to shine. On the break we get locked into those mesmerizing vocals that just melt into the sound effortlessly. A driving slice of progressive that will surely be a hit with the purists.

Yuriy From Russia steps up to the remix plate and shows us yet again his amazing talents. His last outing was on remix duty for Wild Guess'  Trysal 35 back in March this year and since then his tracks have appeared on various compilations among other releases on different labels. The remix intros with a well rounded kick that is joined by a subtle shuffling hat. A melodic arp fades through as a deep rooted bassline takes hold and dominates with its pulsing probing prowess. The vocals from Ange are simply stunning, her voice seems to materialise from nowhere and blend beautifully into the sound providing a melancholic twist on the melodic nature of the track. Such a wonderful, dreamy vibe here that will definitely appeal to many.

Australia's Audio Noir serves up another of his classic Rekonstruction's. This guy has been racking up quite a back catalogue of late. 2015 is turning out to be a very busy year as he delivered his first studio album amongst a multitude of remixes. Already working on his second album we are very excited about what this guy will throw at us next. The remix here ramps up the energy levels with a superb, driving groove filled with a tight drum arrangement and a tough edged bassline that sits in contrast with the brighter, more melodic elements of the track. On the break we are led into a world full of beautiful melodies and deep, warm basses before we get shoved back into the main groove where a brilliant gated synth lead takes over. Ange's vocal comes through with an air of innocence that works very well with the progressive vibe. Another top notch cut from down under, not to be missed.

Russian producer Zatonsky debuts on Bonzai Progressive with this fantastic remix that really raises the bar in the world of prog. With a very impressive list of tracks across various labels we can see why this guy was drafted in for remix duty. The remix opens with a deep, lush piano chord which is joined by the melancholic vocals from Ange that really captivate the imagination. A bright melodic piano provides a stark, contrasting dynamic to the sound as the pianos fade and the track kicks in. Expertly crafted drum arrangements ensue with a deep pulsating bass in tow as the pianos return alongside that stunning vocal. A simply amazing piece of deep progressive vocal house that will capture a lot of attention for sure.

2017 marks a milestone year for us at Bonzai, we're 25! To mark this momentous occasion we've got some amazing surprises that are coming your way over the next 12 months. We kick off the celebrations with a tantalising remix of an absolute classic from an absolute legend, Jam El Mar goes to work on one of Bonzai's most famous releases - The House Of House by Cherrymoon Trax. First released in 1994 on Bonzai Records - catalogue number for the trainspotters is BR 94054 - THOH fuelled the beginning of a new wave of harder edged sounds and tracks that build and build with epic climaxes. Cherrymoon Trax were a veritable who's who in the Belgian electronic music scene, borne out of the phenomena that was New Beat, a collection of artists including Bjorn Wendelen, David Brants, Eddy Weyns, Franky Kloeck, Ilya Depuydt, Kris Vanderheyden, Nico Deleu, Pascal Quatretemps, Peter Schiettekatte, Philip Dirix, Youri De Pauw, Yves Deruyter got together and the rest is history. Although the group members have changed over the years the legacy remains. While all this was going on, Jam El Mar aka Rolf Ellmer - alongside his long time friend and studio partner, the late great Mark Spoon aka Markus Löffel, were taking electronic music to new heights as Jam & Spoon with the likes of Follow Me and Stella among many others. So we just knew that he was the perfect candidate to get this party started in style. Keep an eye out for more info as each month we will have a new classic remixed by the cream of the electronic music crop.

The remix delivers a solid techno fuelled ride filled with nostalgia and a burning dancefloor agenda. We're taken deep with this one and from the intro we're locked on. A steady pulsing bass note and percussion hit combo trails a fading in "the house of house" vocal. A hypnotic synth pluck comes in before the monster kicks take hold with a powerful bass landing on the beat. The classic synths that we all know join in and, while slowed down still carry the same obsessive, infectious groove that digs deep into your soul. After an intense build up we find ourselves completely spaced out as those synths work their magic. A superb tribute to a much loved classic that will keep the legacy stronger than ever.

Creative genius Airwave aka Belgian music maestro Laurent Veronnez, returns to Bonzai Progressive with a truly outstanding 4 track EP titled Bliss. This one marks a shift in Airwave’s usual style, a shift that will grab the attention of a whole new base of music lovers. We sat down with Laurent so that he could give us the lowdown on this new direction, here’s what he had to say. “Most people know me for my energy driven multi-layered Trance productions. But there is also another side to me that deeply cherishes and admires the music you get to listen to on my LCD Sessions Podcast, notably deep, progressive, underground music. I have been experimenting with these types of sounds quite a lot lately, trying to find my own way around this style, creating my own sound within it. The result is my Bliss EP, which I am extremely proud to announce to the world. The 4 tracks are representative of what I play out on my LCD Sessions, without compromising what I am known for. Musically speaking, the new tracks are the perfect transition of where I come from and where I want to go. As with all my tracks in the past I have poured my heart and soul into this EP, it took me a long time to finally accept that they were truly perfect for me and I hope that I have made something that will also be treasured by my fans and beyond.” An intriguing insight into the creative process of a highly gifted artist, we love this new material and we know you will too.

Bliss has a sense of new ground being broken through exploratory sounds that blend effortlessly into a wonderfully solid progressive groove. Tight beats and rhythmic patterns lead the way alongside a mesmerizing, bubbly bassline while captivating melodies swirl around the groove. Distorted synths line up against warm chords as anticipation builds creating a contrast between blissful sounds and much deeper elements.

Cyberian is a superb slice of deep progressive house with an epic feel. Right from the get go we’re drawn into the groove as nice chunky kick drums and shuffling percussions get the feet tapping. The track takes us on an intriguing journey as the layers build and new sounds emerge. A solid, driving groove ensues leading to a short break which introduces hypnotic arpeggios to give the track a truly progressive vibe.

Waterdrop takes us deeper into the progressive realm with an infectious groove that does not let go. The foundation of the track is a strong, deep bassline delivering a groovy undertone and driving the track alongside a rhythmic drum section. Subtle melodies create a wonderful harmonic trait in the groove with the bassline getting in on the act also.

Gravy Train rounds up this awesome EP delivering 9 minutes of pure progressive paradise with a deep meditative groove. The beautifully crafted drum arrangement creates a steady rhythmic flow as droning basses lurk on the low end. Scathing, edgy stabs and surreal rising pads clash and bring us to the break where plucky melodic synths take over. The break climaxes with a superb build up before we head back to full on mode for the duration.

microglobe is Mijk van Dijk’s new label for his very personal vision of Techno and House.
Since his first record release in 1990 he has been a mainstay of the Berlin Techno scene. Between 1992 and 1995 he released several EPs as "microglobe" and also his first album "Afreuropamericasiustralia". Now Mijk returns to his "microglobe" as a personal label after a long journey through the infinite vastness of electronic dance music.
On the  title track Mijk takes a stand on social and political issues in his very own way in the tradition of classic Chicago Deep House and his two „Think & Dance EP“s from 1994, "Peace 4 All" is about the simple truth that everyone has the right to live in peace. The track is released as a vocal version, instrumental and acapella.
The second original track "The Floating World" takes Mijk’s trademark sounds from classics like "All Our Colors" (MFS Records, 1994) and "Motherwomb" (Frisbee Tracks, 2007) on a whole new level and has been road-tested in his DJ sets already with great success. The track title is inspired by Mijk’s love for Japanese culture and the art of Ukiyo-e. 
Mijk van Dijk will release a new EP on microglobe every 6 to 8 weeks.
His next artist album is planned for the end of 2019.

With 13 LPs and over 300 EPs released on iconic labels such as Harthouse, Superstition, Data Records, Hooj Choons, and Yoshitoshi, Oliver Lieb has been a driving force in electronic music for more than three decades.
He has remixed a wide range of artists—from globally recognized acts like Faithless, The Human League, Moby, and Yello to rising talents shaping the future of the scene.

Under influential aliases including L.S.G., Paragliders, S.O.L., The Ambush, and others—as well as under his own name—Oliver has explored and defined a broad spectrum of underground electronic genres.
His work spans techno, trance, house, and ambient, all while developing a signature sound that is instantly recognizable and deeply respected.

With his releases, DJ sets and guest mixes on shows like Transitions, Tronic Radio and GEM FM he continues to cement his position at the cutting edge of contemporary music remaining a true original, a creative force and an inspiration to many.
