Here On The Hill by Portabello - Recorded Live at the Alleycats in Reading in '98. Video is this year in the woods behind the house. Until life got in the way Robert Minter, Bob Dallas, Keith Svendsen and Brian Reeves lived and breathed our top London band for 5 years. We did Phoenix Festival, supported Babybird, The Seahorses and Ride plus lots of other stuff including Later with Jools and appeared as ourselves in 'An Ideal Husband'.

First demo of my favorite song from '90, really proud of all of the iterations - I listen to this and wonder where the hell it came from. Performed this hundreds of times with various bands over 20 years, it still stands up.

This Place Is Beautiful - Original

The one that got me signed to Utopia Records with Phil Wainman. Recorded on a tape recorder in the bedroom using a CD and 8 track. Utopia recorded it again with an orchestra and got me on TVAM for 6 minutes but had to use my original tape as it was actually better than their studio recording!!! Go Fostex! TVAM recording is on Youtube somewhere...
