This gender troubled queer musical collage comprising '90s romanian prolet-pop tunes is fully available in terms of nostalgia, haunted vibes and lyrics curiousity to the romanian audience only. Nevertheless I hope it will prove to be an interesting listen for wider audiences as well. 
The lyrics that transgress gender, sometimes during the same song, are characteristic for this type of music. What's interesting is the fact that the LGBTQ factor is unexpectedly interlaced through all the dimensions and strata of this music genre that is specific to a certain social category which shows, at least in theory, little or no interest towards the queer culture.

Mix měsíce se po nějaké době opět obrací za hranice – tentokrát k rumunskému labelu Future Nuggets. Jde o kolektiv hudebníků a nadšenců, kteří před pár lety začali objevovat a vydávat hudební perly nedávné rumunské minulosti. Například kompilace The Lost Tapes znovuobjevuje projekt Rodion na pomezí elektroniky a psychedelického rocku. Sami členové Future Nuggets hrají v kapele Steaua de Mare. Jedná se o hypnagogický instrumentální projekt, jenž se snaží zčásti implementovat i lokální hudební žánr manele. Kořeny manele vedou do prostředí rumunských romských komunit. Zatímco v minulosti bylo z tohoto důvodu na manele nahlíženo s velkou nevolí, nová generace mladých Rumunů z měst si tento žánr zamilovala a manele se postupně posunulo z okraje směrem k mainstreamu. Zároveň došlo k fúzi s elektronickou hudbou. Future Nuggets se snaží vycházet z dědictví regionální hudební minulosti a rekontextualizovat ji v moderní podobě. Mix, který si Future Nuggets pro A2larm připravili, postupuje chronologicky od devadesátých let přes manele nového tisíciletí až po žhavé novinky, včetně nahrávky, která brzy vyjde na jejich labelu.
