The Hellfire Orchestra are a rock band with both the punk spirit of folk music, and the folk spirit of punk music. They emerged unpredictably from the Smugglers Records world and - though recognizably formidable - found love most at the fringes of that scene, amongst those with a taste for the counter-cultural punk ethos. 

A few major world and personal life events, an as-yet unreleased 2nd album and the beginnings of a 3rd album later, and Hellfire are back in a new stride. Their newest chapter explores an even less dulcet side.

Sometimes it takes a few bumps to find the right direction; often it involves experience, guts and self-belief to trust yourself and venture from one to find another. The Milk are a band that believe with utter conviction that they've now found their way. Fuelled by a rediscovery of the music and artists that originally inspired their formation, the four walls of their studio were ablaze with a soundtrack of Bill Withers, Isaac Hayes and the Isley Brothers throughout the songwriting process for their second album. 

The Bee's Paul Butler, who proved his production mastery with Michael Kiwanuka's Mercury Prize nominated debut, invited the band to record at Chale Abbey, a medieval barn on the Isle of Wight. Guided by Butler, the sessions here captured the genuine version of The Milk: the sounds and honesty of soul. 

Eager to share their new songs, 'Deliver Me' was released as free download and limited 7" single in November 2014 - finding its way onto the playlists of BBC 6 Music's Lauren Laverne, Huey Morgan and Gilles Peterson - while The Milk's dedicated fans packed out Tufnell Park's The Dome for the band's triumphant live return. 

With their second album set for release this autumn, The Milk take to the stage on 2nd July for an intimate show at Hackney's Oslo to unveil their new songs in full for the first time.

FØNX delivers RnB-infused pop with jazz, funk and soul influences, merging catchy grooves, memorable hooks and intricate guitar licks with inspired lyrical content.

Shortly after graduating from The Brit School FØNX gigged his way around the South East and London circuit, playing at festivals such as Cornbury Festival, Barn on The Farm, LeeFest and Isle Of Wight Festival.

He self released two EP’s which were written and produced solely in his bedroom which gained attention and support from BBC Introducing’s Abbie McCarthy and radio airplay from BBC Radio 1 Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 2 Dermot O’Leary and BBC 6 Tom Robinson.

This interest led to songs being playlisted in over 600+ Caffe Nero stores and gained over 2.8 million streams on Spotify.

Around this time FØNX also co-wrote and featured on Norway producer Sonny Alven single ‘Irregular Love’ in 2015 which gained a lot of radio airplay in Norway, playlisting in stores around the globe and has amassed over 7million streams.

After working with Grammy Award-Winning Producer Tommaso Colliva (Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Damon Albarn) FØNX started releasing music under his alias and during the summer 2017 released his single 'Can't Get Enough' which reached no.10 in the Main Club Charts with a club remix by VARGENTA.

With great support from BBC Introducing, sync on Channel 4, playlisting in Zara stores and Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’, 'Soultronic' and 'Chilled Pop Hits' editorial playlist features, Apple Music’s ‘Best of the Week’ playlist and over 14 million streams achieved as an unsigned independent artist and songwriter, FØNX is currently writing and self producing his next EP.

'Usually the best music is heard when you least expect it. That was the case with Jodie, she played an open spot at a comedy cabaret club called The Private Widdle Social Club. Just one song, but that was enough, we were bewitched. She had a presence, poetry and wisdom well beyond her years. After sending Paul Clifford (The Be Good Tanyas, Groanbox, Cocos Lovers) a song recorded on her phone, he became convinced that she was in fact 378 years old and not 16. Together, with the help of a few of the Cocos Lovers, Paul and Jodie recorded her debut EP The Day The Moon Left, in Paul’s straw lined caravan; Muskie Studios. It’s a beautiful bittersweet record inspired by great writers such as Italo Calvino and scientific tragedies like the moon moving away from the earth 4cm every year.'
