Raik feat. Henri "Hold Me E.P." (Golden City Sounds 002)

The double A-side EP, Hold Me, is Golden City Boy Raik's debut release. Raik founded the Hamburg-based label, Golden City Sounds, with German house legends Boris Dlugosch and Isi Tüfekci (otherwise known as one half of Digitalism) in March 2013. Hold Me is the label's third release, following Dlugosch's Look Around You single, featuring Roísín Murphy (Moloko), and Polargeist + Kruse + Nuernberg's Good Times, a deep house, feel-good anthem of the summer.

For the first track, Hold Me, Raik teamed up with Henri aka Henrietta Tiefenthaler, producer, DJ and also singer in the psychedelic Krautrock band Thrillionaire. With her romantic, dystopian lyrics, Henri's hypnotic vocal delivery gives an emotional depth to this slice of shimmery, pop-electronica.

The second track, La Musique, is a euphoric club tune, a perfect counterbalance to the more rhapsodic melancholia of Hold Me. With its hooky synth line, infectious groove, and sexy French spoken word vocal, its arrangement is flawless and guaranteed to suck you into its retro-futuristic world.

This long-awaited EP will be sure to deliver on the expectation.

Playing on the Robot Heart bus at Burning Man is a dream I’ll never get tired of living. Robot Heart is a constant source of inspiration to me and so many others! Grateful for the opportunity to play on the bus again. 

This year (2024), my set time was Monday Morning at 7:00 am so I wanted to prepare something special for the beginning of an unforgettable week. 

I decided to play a live set filled with most of the Edits/Remixes I’ve made along the years (for example: Edits/Remixes I’ve made of Alice Coltrane, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Michelle Gurevich, Acid Pauli, Nicolas Jaar, Fred Again, etc…). 

I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result of this experiment!

After warm and beautiful summer it's time to start sailing towards next adventure of the wonderful sounds, this time it's extremely talented German producer Rauschhaus who has been releasing numerous successful tracks on labels such as Kittball, Parquet, Einmusika, Bullfinch, etc.

Release is called: End Of All Things and it consists three original tracks as well as remix from talented Berliner Franz Alice Stem whos production has been released on likes of Click and Trapez ltd as well as cooperated with leading artists such as Ramon Tapia, Rainer Zonneveld, Just Her, etc

Main track of the release End Of All Things is a true underground scene anthem with its extremely groovy basslines and synths perfectly blended with dreamy vocals. Afraid of Us is a title of the second original mix in the release and it is filled with wonderfully crafted sounds of warm synth and piano..The Beginning Of Nothing is the third original mix with it's edgy melodies of monotonic sounds and marvellous atmosphere. 

One and only remix done by Franz Alice Stern of End Of All Things offers dramatic techno masterpiece, from exciting arps perfectly blended with those vocals to the outrageously groovy basslines with the twist of true modern Berlin sounds.

Premiere: Zoo Brazil feat. Wolf and Moon "Thunderstorm" (Dave Seaman Remix) - Selador Recordings

The team of Felix and Yannek Maunz give their debut on the infamous label Katermukke.  After a few collaborations of the two producers and live acts from Berlin, they gave rise to their track 'Choices'. A melancholic symphony which carries Felix voice and delivers a chiming groove of a deep and dancy dream. The warm and blistering „Synth Sequence“ on the drop definitely gives the track its characteristic sound and touch.

„Choices“ is Part of the EP „Shining One“ which also includes two tracks of Daniel Jaeger and Cook Strummer.
