Sic was formed a few years ago with the sole aim of having fun, trying to find a personal tone and taking its time to try to build a repertoire based on the classic formula “guitars-bass-drums-harmo-sing-choirs”. The proposed universe is resolutely rock with a fairly raw sound, atmospheres where a certain violence, even rage, prevail, alternated with a few periods of calm. The musical structures of the compositions find their inspiration in various blues, rock and pop trends, and a slight touch of rock-prog: the verses are not always verses, the choruses can sometimes not be repeated... A little construction game which leaves great freedom for the narration. 
The texts, in French with a few ready passages, address themes drawn from personal experience, literature, points of society or even current events, but without being totally anchored there, the dreamlike willingly taking part in the story to escape from an agreed, expected format.
 
Sic recently introduced a few covers of favorite artists (Floyd, French singer Bashung, Bowie, etc.), but again, these are proposals different from the original works with the sole aim of having fun and surprising the public.
Sic se forme il y a quelques années dans le seul but de se faire plaisir, d’essayer de trouver un ton personnel et de prendre son temps pour essayer de construire un répertoire s’appuyant sur la formule classique «guitares-basse-batterie-harmo-chant-chœurs». L’univers proposé est résolument rock avec un son assez brut, des ambiances où priment une certaine violence, voire une rage, alternées de quelques plages d’accalmie. Les structures musicales des compositions trouvent leurs inspirations dans divers courants blues, rock et pop, et une légère touche de rock-prog : les couplets ne sont pas toujours des couplets, les refrains peuvent parfois ne pas se répéter… Un petit jeu de construction qui laisse une grande liberté à la narration. 
Les textes, en français à quelques passages prêts, abordent des thèmes puisés dans le vécu personnel, la littérature, des points de société voire d’actualité, mais sans s’y ancrer totalement, l’onirisme prenant volontiers part au récit pour échapper à un format convenu, attendu. 
Sic a récemment introduit quelques reprises d’artistes fétiches (Floyd, Bashung, Bowie…), mais là encore, il s’agit de propositions différentes des œuvres originales dans le seul but de se faire plaisir, et d’étonner le public.
