French-Moroccan sound artist and performer Nina Boukhari (aka Nina Hoppas) explores the relationship between sound, rhythm, and identity through electric bass, prepared ghembri, and electronic devices. 

Founder of the PhOEMina festival, an Italian-French platform dedicated to women and all minorities in avant-garde music, she alternates between solo productions and collaborations with musicians and visual performers.

She has developed an improvisational practice combining electronic sensibility and traditional Moroccan practices, giving shape to a decolonial sound presence.

She is currently based in Naples, where she has developed several projects, notably with video artist and performer Tiziana Salvati, with whom she improvises in close collaboration with aerial dance artists. She has also collaborated with musician Nadia Daou, alias NÂR, Paed Conca, Mario Gabola, Stefano Costanzo, and Alessandra Zerbinati (musician and performer).
