I will be discussing gender-based violence in Latinx communities here in the U.S. There have been many feminist protests throughout Latin America, demonstrating in the streets and demanding their governments address the femicide and gender-based violence crises happening throughout the region. Because this is such an important issue that is more relevant than ever, I wanted to dive deeper into the cultural aspects that are fueling this crisis and take a look at what goes in to making this issue relevant to Latinx communities.
