9th symphony beethoven

I was just practicing tonight and felt like recording one of the pieces.  Beethoven's Sonata No. 14 in C# minor Op. 27 No. 2, or otherwise known as 'Quasi una fantasia' or the 'Moonlight Sonata'.  I recorded this on a Steinway D and mastered it in my mastering studio www.alpinemastering.com

Chacun Sha Sha (feat. Jonti & As Valet)

This is a preview my “Symphony of Minds Listening", which was premiered at Peninsula Arts Contemporary Music Festival on the 23rd of February 2013, Plymouth, UK. The symphony is based on the second movement of Beethoven's seventh symphony and uses the same instrumentation as the original. 

I deconstructed and reassembled Beethoven’s music according to fMRI brain scans taken from three people while they listened to Beethoven's movement. Each person yielded a different movement of “Symphony of Minds Listening”. 

In this preview, scored for a string quartet, a flute and a clarinet, I tested some of the methods I developed to reassemble Beethoven’s music. 

My heartfelt thanks go to Dan Lloyd and Zoran Josipovic in New York for their support with the fMRI scanning and data analysis.
