The Gun Well Street are pleased to present The Gun Aid LP. 14 tracks that perfectly encapsulate the sound of one of too many guinnesses underneath the neon lights late into the evening. The kind of leftfield jams we love, be it techno, house, dub, EBM or industrial. An eclectic bunch of oddballs, just like our regulars.

Many of our nearest and dearest have donated songs, including Daniel Avery, Nitzer Ebb, Roisin Murphy, Andy Bell (as GLOK), and The 2 Bears’ Raf Rundell. We’ve got the first ever track from Mister Deltoid, the brand new project by Nathan Gregory Wilkins & Paranoid London’s Quinn Whalley. Ivan Smagghe and C.A.R. make up I.C.A.R. Body Hammer’s Scott Fraser, Richard Sen, Cherrystones, Nuphonic’s Dave Hill & the Ballistic Brothers as Soul Revivers, Arveene Juthan & Shamon Cassette as Bon Voyage, Skylab with Cecile Loyez, and our very own Mondowski are all on board. Design work, as ever, by Rusty. We’d like to thank everyone involved not just for their contributions, but for their continued support and friendship.

The Gun isn’t just a music venue, it’s very much a community pub in-fact, of all the artists on the tracklist, only Roisin hasn’t DJed there (yet). A year of disastrous Tory policy in the face of a global pandemic and things have never been so tough, but that doesn’t just go for us. It goes for the entire community. As such, proceeds from this project will be split between keeping the pub afloat, and to be donated to local families via charity Hackney Quest. Hackney Quest are a local charity who have worked with The Gun in coordinated projects, such as organising an anti-racism street festival on Well Street over the last few years.

All bandcamp pre-orders will also receive digital downloads of tracks from Jorge Velez and Toresch which have never been released digitally before.

Diskontrol is the pseudonym of Fernando Sifuentes, DJ/Producer from the city of Torreón, Mexico. His style is a mix of Disco music, Nu Disco, even Techno with dark touches but without losing the percussive taste that characterizes it.

Currently a member of SunnySunday project and co-founder of the Mexican label Maleante Records, he is also a resident artist at venues such as Salón Sonorama, Santiguo C.S., 71 Sala/Club and Bucareli Art & Club, having also achieved presentations at festivals such as Base 2019 (Tampico), Newara Creel Fest 2018 (Chihuahua), Conecta Expo Art 2016 (Torreón), Mexican Wave 2015 (Monterrey), Santival 2013 (Torreón) and Waco Music Fest 2013 (Torreón).

He has also played in many clubs across the country such as Rhodesia Club Social (Mexico City), Skizzo (Monterrey), Voodo Mama (Puebla), Herr Tlacuache (Oaxaca), just to mention a few. Counting on a “Saka Tour” tour through Costa Rica playing at El Garito Playa, Akian Playa Puntarenas and Club Casa San José in 2017.

Sharing the stage with exponents such as Betoko, Yoko0, Zombies in Miami, Andre Vll, Iñigo Vontier, Thomass Jackson is also a common thing in his career. As a producer, his releases can be found vital on record labels such as Richmerch (México), Maleante Records (México), Malinche (México), Irrelevante (Costa Rica), Clandestinne Music (Chile), ESTHÉTIQUE (France) and Subsonique (France).

Daydream, EP by japanese artist Oowets, sews his low-fi beats background with consistent grooves - sometimes more percussive, sometimes deeper - in a soundscape that resembles a sunny garden. The work is filled with analog rhythms that contrast with the digital melody. In the three original tracks, Oowets offers us a generous invitation: a walk in his oneiric universe, which starts paced and optimistic, plunging into introspection. The two remixes, one signed by Vermelho (ODD) and the other by DSRPTV's crew, bet on the dancefloor mood, without departing from the delicate aspect that permeates the EP and that has become the label's brand.

With the 2019 release of their Black Cat EP (Optimo Music) and the She Takes NRG EP (Ivan Smagghe’s Les Disques de la Mort), among other releases, the Zillas have garnered support from fellow futuristic travelers like Roman Flügel, Jennifer Cardini, Justin Strauss, The Juan MacLean, Cooper Saver, and many more.
