Ombra International is well known as the boutique label led by real digger and Berlin resident Luca Venezia aka Curses,  and this his 18th release - Ombra INTL018: Valiant Fury. Assembled in parts from different corners of Europe it's a perfect combination of six finest electronic music producers.
The result is a jolting bursting atmospheric package of records which blows away the cobwebs and ushers us forward to the dancefloor for those first long-awaited parties of 2021.

Not so long ago, Argentinean Poulper (SXDNS146) and Lithuanian Aurum Miles joined forces to launch the promising label Quixotical Records, an upsurging platform driven by Disco and Techno influences infused with EBM flashes and Electro pieces.

For the forthcoming release of the already respected imprint, they bring you Ludviq, the head of Mexico-based label Bonkers. His "Disease" EP delivers two well-constructed originals and four alluring remixes made with love by Random Atlas (SXDNS155), MAN2.0 (SXDNS081), Chinosynth, and Poulper himself.

The track we were solicited to review/premiere was cooked by beloved-by-all duo Random Atlas. The Chileans based in Berlin took "Disease" to their lab and, using a fine-tuned combination of dark science and black magic, delivered a biting and pungent version. These guys never disappoint, either with their absurd originals or hot collaborations, their output is second to none. Here, for instance, they brought the solid original a more aggressive and menacing mood, filling it with eerie synth FXs and a more robust bassline. Kudos!

Black Flamingo Disco Driver & Marzian present Arp Battery, their first collaboration EP forging an electronic alliance that explores the most intimate paths of psychedelia and uplifting beats of the future. Berlin label ODD Pleasures continues to consolidate itself as a reference label and presents in this release 2 originals and 4 powerful remixes by artists such as Freudenthal, Adrian Marth, Disco Mortale and Random Atlas.

Arp Battery is a track designed for the rush hour of the night, characterized by a powerful bass chained to infectious rhythms and luminous leads that take the dancer to an unknown state of mind. Yarara is the second original of this work, in which the artists expose a dark vision and a dystopian atmosphere at a low revolution bpm.

In charge of the remixes, the artists invited to this sonic delight have contributed tracks that are true gold. Freudenthal makes Arp Battery a very atmospheric track in which he transforms the original into a progressive sonic journey ideal for a sunset. Adrian Marth, the current king of Italo disco, brings out all his heavy artillery and collection of lush synthesizers in the form of a new beat banger, which transports us to the best of the 80's sounds driven by massive electro beats and obscure synths. Disco Mortale presents his demonic and thuggish side to create a killer bomb, straight to explode a dance floor with its frenetic rhythm. Rounding up the release, ODD Pleasures’s bosses, Random Atlas join this board of specialists with their own vision of Yarara, presenting a lisergic trip, an organic journey of haunted melodies and textures. A blend of exotic twisted vibes with an elegant powerful presentation.

Elation becomes soundtrack suspense on Fabrizio Mammarella’s remix, stripping back the parameters (while bringing the rhythm to the fore), resulting in a driving, tunnel trancer. Enter The Infinite is a steady builder; each tweak charming you towards twilight’s dancing silhouettes. Cyrillic balearic vocal’s melodise The Hidden Magenta, which locks you in it’s groove’s exotic, growing, immediacy.

The second is the title track "BAILA CON LA CABEZA ". Like a sharp needle it pierces your eardrums, giving you an uneasy feeling, you're not alone, there's someone in the dark, creeping in the shadows like a ghost, you can't see it, but you can hear it, you can sense it, intensity is building up and that thing is only growing, feeding off of your fear of the unknown, getting ready to consume you, and it will... Resistance is an absurd thought, that will pass through your mind, shortly disregarding itself until there's nothing, but vicious sounds fighting each other in the eternal landscape we call consciousness.
