I like this podcast because I got to play some tracks that I really enjoy and that I tend to play less live these days.

Mute accorde une importance toute particulière à la découverte de talents émergents de la scène underground, et vous présente aujourd'Hui son nouveau concept : Mute Radio. Mute Radio est un espace d'expression libre dédié à la scène techno et à ses acteurs. À chaque édition, nous inviterons des artistes/collectifs émergents pour les mettre en avant, leur offrant ainsi une plateforme pour partager leur musique, leur vision artistique et leurs idées.

Pour cette deuxième édition, Mute invite le talentueux Ombrar, et le brillant Too Contrasted !

OMBRAR :

D’origine franco-britannique, Ombrar propose une musique dure et hors du commun qui cherche constamment à déstabiliser ses auditeurs. Formé en tant qu'ingénieur du son, il est passionné par les différents outils sonores. Qu’ils soient analogiques, numériques ou même acoustiques, il utilise tout ce qui est à sa portée pour créer. Mais Ombrar aime avant tout le field recording et aller chercher les sons dans leurs propres environnements, chargés des histoires qu’ils portent. Cet intérêt profond pour le son l’a poussé à développer un live qu’il propose en plus de ses dj sets sous la bannière du collectif Ultracks Records.

Il a aussi lancé en 2017 son propre label appelé @blacksilhouetterecords et qui est né d’une collaboration avec son frère avec qui il partage une passion pour la musique électronique depuis plus de 10 ans. Profondément inspiré et motivé par l’expérimentation et l’étrangeté de ce monde, il est toujours à la recherche d’atmosphères qui lui sont particulières.

TOO CONTRASTED :

Too contrasted est un DJ et producteur de 21 ans, inspiré par le métal et la darkwave, ainsi que par la culture punk. Étant passé par de nombreux styles comme l'industrial hardcore ou la shranz, il propose aujourd'hui une techno précise et rythmée, toujours dans son univers sombre.

Mute est un collectif parisien fondé en 2019 (initialement sous le nom "Emulation Seine") par Jaag, Mhoax et 4000 Hz. Les travaux du collectif sont orientés techno cinématique, EBM et industrielle, ce qui les a amenés à croiser le fer avec d'autres organisations évoluant sur cette scène en pointe, dont Ultracks ou récemment Demian Records avec Cvnsumed, San Ju-Ni et Znzl, mais encore des valeurs montantes comme Ey.Rah, Catartsis, Ombrar, LASK, Malwere, Hyden ou Esilise. Mute s'inscrit pleinement dans la mouvance récente qui ramène une âme, une structure et une narration dans la techno industrielle et cinématique, loin des paillettes agitées et des outrances prétendument "hard techno".
