Wrote this looking for shells on the Ormond-by-the-Sea beach.

Singer of My Life

A few years back I made a track called ‘Dreamwerk’ and this piece takes some ideas from it and dresses itself up dubstep fashion.

Not one for strict genre compliance, it is almost accidental that I’ve made anything even close to dubstep.

Had a bit of a nightmare with the wobble bass and some timing issues with the midsection of the arrangement, but the rest fell together fairly easily.

This was purposefully made with as few bells and whistles as possible, so as not to overcomplicate the mix, giving (with any luck) a more raw yet humble result. Hope it doesn’t come across as lazy…

This is a track from 2019, and has been unearthed because it remains one of my favorite collaborations with vocals. The poignant and bittersweet lyrics sung in Pia’s beautiful soft voice offer an inviting sincerity......and then there's that ending. :)

Probably the last part of the series. Impetus or momentum is also an archaic theory that was supposed to address the problem of inertia (and turned out to be wrong). Still, the concept seemed to me to fit perfectly with the idea of "feeding the movement", any force that moves us, keeps us in action. 
The main influence remains Steve Reich and in particular his work on "Electric counterpoint" and "2x5" which I wondered what would happen if they were considered as works of a new kind of rock that would only ask prosper.

Toujours est-il que le concept me semblait coller parfaitement à l’idée « d ‘alimentation du mouvement », toute force qui nous meut, nous garde en action.

Sorry if I don't answer your messages but since SoundCloud has the annoying habit of deleting them (it must have happened to you too I imagine), I'll give up.
While I waited 2 months without internet for my line to be repaired, I started building a live music repertoire with 2 other musicians. Also, although I appreciate the Soundcloud community which has motivated me to stay creative for the last 2 years, over the next few months I will be extending my "media break" to continue progressing.
