Well I’ve had some sunny days and it’s been fun
but when I woke up this morning and I raised up the shade
it was a pink sky forewarning
bad times are headed my way

Lock the door and stay inside and 
every time I look that sun gets higher
and that sky
turns brighter

It’s a holy ball of fire streaming death rays and golden spires
bathed in the rouge of a painted lady
wears all her desire
and 

I’ve had days of constant struggle 
like I’m living in the bowels of a dead end puzzle 
so I’m happy for the settling hue
of a sun who’s time is due
give me a pink sky tonight 
a lick of rose
a peaceful sight

D-Gosh!

An amateur cover version of Chick Corea's song "Eternal Child" (from the album "Eye of the Beholder", 1988). Not much improvisation here.... just a basic version showcasing Mr. Corea's ingenious composition. After installing the new awesome Rhodes V8 plugin I decided to try to record this song using a lovely and dynamic Dyno Rhodes type of electric piano sound.

Played by me with my Korg SGProX digital stage piano using the Rhodes V8 Pro virtual electric piano (Rhodes MK8; preset name "Dyna-Mite" and player profile "Dyn-O-Mighty", with some tweaking by the undersigned), Yamaha Montage 8 (CFX Concert) and Arturia CZ V (cf. Casio CZ-1, CZ-101). 

Posted as a private person for non-commercial purposes.

In fact it's 2 scenes from Kurosawa's movie that I merged. In the first, the inhabitants of the slum play cards while singing a refrain. In the second, the same decide to spend a night of drinking to forget the recent worries. Not that the song needed an instrumental support, it was rather an opportunity to review this pretty charivari inspired by Nô theater.

En fait il s'agit de 2 scènes du film de Kurosawa que j'ai fusionné. Dans la première les habitants du taudis jouent aux cartes en entonnant une ritournelle. Dans la deuxième, les mêmes décident de passer une nuit de beuverie pour oublier les tracas récents. Non pas que la chanson avait besoin d'un support instrumental, c'était plutôt une occasion de revoir ce joli charivari inspiré du théâtre Nô.
