All remixes have been curated by Spazzkid himself and include friends, collaborators, and inspirations. The remixes give a new take to the original EP released over the summer often exploring calmer and darker sides to the songs. Photay’s debut self-titled EP has met critical acclaim and bigger praise than his afro pictured on the album cover. Having garnered international support from artists and curators like Gilles Peterson, Daedelus, Bonobo and Shinichi Osawa, the young producer has had a meteoric rise, with much more to come.

To celebrate this achievement, we reached out to like-minded musicians and producers to reinterpret the record's nine tracks. The result is a blend of styles, each rooted in a common enthusiasm for the original material, while boldly reimagining its potential.

Ink dissolves into static, like words meant to endure, while a distant avenue collapses under the weight of memory. Rusty melodies hum in empty spaces, where departures occur silently and names fade without resistance. Shadows pulse beneath forgotten coordinates as the city rocks in a waltz no one remembers. Between broken paths and collapsed rituals, a faint glow still lingers on the scorched horizon, tracing the fragile outline of everything we used to connect with.

today we bring you our first ever 3-track EP, from another new up-and-coming artist named Erder, otherwise known as Erdertainment.

Erder is a 15 year old producer from Germany, and we are very excited to welcome him to our family at Night Owl Collective. he likes to experiment with many different styles, which we love, and his focus is mostly on jazz-influenced music, so he will fit right in.

when we had our submissions open, Erder was one of the first people to send me a submission that i really fell in love with, which was his song "Underneath" (track 3 on the EP). after listening to it a couple times, I checked out some more of his music and really started to dig deeper into his style. 

we decided to put a little EP together, and now we are so excited to share it with you! this EP is truly full of good vibes. the title track, "Lookalike", is a deep house track with a melody you can play over and over again. the second track, "Senpai", is a mixture of chill trap and future bass, with hard hitting 808s and lush synth work. and the final track, "Underneath", is a very unique piece of music, with a bossa nova type of sound, mixed with the vibes you would get while playing a video game like Animal Crossing. all in all, these three tracks are very different, but still compliment each other very well, and we will certainly have this EP on repeat for a long time <3
