"Established in 2011 Kompas Audio was started by my good friend Krystian aka Dj Lunatic and is all about showcasing some of the best underground drum & bass, visually as well as audibly via live stream sessions. 

This project was truly born out of our passion for Drum & Bass, Jungle, Vinyl and Live gigs - essentially all of what electronic music culture is about. 

So when our paths crossed we soon realised that we shared the same passion for music and art so he welcomed me aboard to the Kompass team.

Its was a great pleasure to roll out a set for Mixblog, Anthony asked me to dig deep so I trawled through my collection and put together some of my favourite deep, soulful & atmospheric tunes from over the years, some of the gems I don’t always get the chance to play.

Atmospherics is Soul Intent’s fourth studio long player and sees him explore interstellar soundscapes via his Exkursions imprint. Anyone familiar with Alex’s work will have likely picked up that he has a soft-spot for science fiction and Atmospherics draws on influences from classic movies through to seminal ambient electronica LPs such as Biosphere’s “Patashink”, Global Communications “76:14” and Aphex Twin's “Selected Ambient Works”.

The unstoppable Data B is back yet again with more space jazz. Beginning with New Horizon this EP starts as it means to go on with lush layers of pads, infectious rhythms and wondrous melodics that evolve throughout, all the way to the closing track 'Green'. This is music that is destined to be the soundtrack to future missions into distant constellations, where discreet jazz and funk elements drift in and out as celestial synths and pads explode around them, all punctuated by crisp drums. Showing no signs of slowing down, we expect Data B to launch more beats into the ether very soon.
