Om Records founder Christopher Smith returns under his Shiny Objects moniker with Superstitious Hips, a heavy brooding new single on Smoke N’ Mirrors. Kicking things off is the original version of the title track. There’s a darkness that builds into a down and dirty body-shaking affair with heavy drums. Up next is the Birds Fly South (Maxxi Soundsystem & Holmar from Thugfucker) who takes the track into deeper house territory. Following that is the final cut Twisted Up, a funky booty bouncing house track with tons of old school vibes to round out the single.

I am a German trance producer. I have been producing myself since 2013 and prefer uplifting trance tracks with beautiful melodies. In 2018 my first single debut was released by Lifted Trance Music Records. Further releases followed later on D.MAX Recordings, Gert Records, #WeAreTrance and Sundance Recordings. DJs such as Vero Rhapsody, Ryui Bossen, Danny Grunow, DJ Ri3S, DJ KrissB and many others support me a lot and play my tracks in their mix-sessions. Adrián Peña Sánchez (Calystarr) is a DJ, producer and electronic researcher from Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz). His style could be compared to night and day, on the one hand, dynamism and depth and on the other, elegance and freshness.
His sounds are full of psychedelic atmospheres full of harmony using nuances and resources, in most cases, of a retrospective nature. Calystarr usually works under many musical influences, betting mainly on retro and underground indie sounds. In his sets and productions it is common to hear Nudisco, Italo, Classic House, New Beat, Indie Dance, Acid, Electro, EBM and Dark Disco styles.

He has worked musically with a multitude of national and international artists such as James Rod, Parissior, Moo Monster, Neurotiker, Pumuki, CMIND, Gameboyz, ROTCIV, Ilya Santana, Tronik Youth, Kay-Chi, Chinosynth and Astore working for music labels such as Golden Soul, Espacio Cielo, When Disco Goes Wrong, Melómana Records, Channel Six, Burning Synths, Nein Records, Club Mackan, Astrolead Records, Logical Records and Emerald & Doreen.
As for performances, Calystarr has been in many venues, events and festivals sharing the bill with many artists of great projection such as Avant_Y, Chagar, Lollypop, Rick Golden, Nubaen, Vinny Carmona, Bonny Stuche, Dalila, Göo!, Sedjat and many more.
Worthy of mention is his performance at Electrolunch, Edición Sevilla XXL where he shared the bill with Reka and Jennifer Cardini and Interestelar Sevilla 2025 where he shared the line up with Marta Flores, Undo and Blondex.
Currently, Calystarr is working on a parallel project in full adaptation to the performance format through the Live Set and Hybrid Set, introducing the alternation through digital and analog systems.
