“The Q Televector, or Quark Televector, discovered by Josiah English in A.N. 2180, is the mathematical formulaic equivalent for precise warp-propulsion entry and exit of gravity wells with an inertial coefficient greater than 3.73. A gravity well on this scale is approximately the size of our local gas giants, Jupiter and Saturn. The Q Televector is also useful for plotting star charts, especially across great distances, within an accuracy of 99.993%.

Josiah “discovering” the formula is a bit of a misnomer, as it was his hacked Shard directing his heavily modified Personal Exploration Spacecraft [PES] in a heavily-damaged, dire self-preservation drive; which made the calculation that executed its warp drive into an overclocked state, causing the spacecraft to blink out of existence - narrowly escaping a plasma missile from a small fleet of bounty hunters. This was the first known instance of human/hybrid intelligence warp travel. His destination remains unknown, even to him. A 100 BTC bounty posted by U.N.S Extra-Solar Command exists, & is wanted dead or alive for smuggling, fraud, bribery, manslaughter, capital murder, impersonating a U.N.S. officer, salacious acts & intents, and treason. It is unknown if he was traveling alone.  Josiah is often seen and labeled as a “hero” and “martyr” for the counter-cultures galaxy-wide, and those oppressed into poverty and an existence of economic servitude by the system.
