 Brooklyn based On Edge Society make swift return with their next vinyl offering and a label debut from Marco Effe. 
Having previously released on sister label, Inmotion Music, the Italian delivers a tougher, more raw sound on his brace for OES. The title track with its skittish and yet eerily funky melody an thumping kick drum leads the way and is backed by Hidden Fields with it spritely and yet incredibly spooky chimes. 
First up on the remixes is Enemy boss Dustin Zahn, who goes to work on Unmanned Mission, spinning it into a relentless, no-nonsense diesel chugger. His fellow countryman and US rave legend DJ Hyperactive softens the edges of Hidden Fields whilst twisting those mind altering chimes.

Mirko Loko announces new album, ‘Comet Plan’

Six years on from his debut album on Cadenza, Swiss DJ/producer Mirko Loko announces the follow up to 2009’s ‘Seventynine’ as he catapults us into the techno and electronica galaxy with ‘Comet Plan’.

“Un voyage entre toute mes influences,” is how Mirko describes the essence of his sophomore long player, literally translating as ‘to travel between my influences’.
The album was conceived in Berlin, and later birthed in his hometown of Lausanne after a two-year gestation period. 

It’s Mirko’s strong sense of musical identity that is at the core of ‘Comet Plan’, a work that’s equally informed by the artist’s spiritual connection with the Motor City as his halcyon Cadenza roots.  Featuring 12 tracks, and collaborative contributions from visionary pianist, Francesco Tristano, and dOP vocalist, JAW.

‘Comet Plan’ will be released in May on Cadenza Records, and will be preceded by a single, ‘Kolor’, featuring remixes by Carl Craig.

A lot has changed after our two Italian friends Paolo Martini & Paul C released their last Terminal M EP in October 2013. Their career exploded with fantastic tracks on 8bit and Moon Harbour and just received another upgrade on Saved Records where a new Riva Starr Edit from their Terminal M classic 'Take Some Time' was released. So it's good to have the boys back on the mothership with a great fourtracker.

Slam deliver yet another on point release for Soma as the duo drop the Signifies EP. Stuart and Orde have been on fire of late with not only their releases doing the damage but with a string of gigs across the continent and their own Pressure events in their hometown of Glasgow going from strength to strength, the pair seem unstoppable at the moment. This latest EP once again shows great depth in their production going from hard- hitting techno to stripped back and jacked up machine funk.

Structure kicks things off and Slam state their intent on this one as one mean sounding hook plays the main role alongside fairly punishing drums. Title track Signifies is up next with yet more intelligently made patterns used a little more subtly but with no less impact. Functional closes out the EP and takes things a little deeper with is simple yet effect and pumped percussion striding across a tweeked out vocal sample.
With this huge release, Slam once again maintain their claim as being one of the most innovative acts in electronic music right now.
