Our next release comes from a place very close to home, with our resident Lisene’s debut album. As one of the originators of the psychedelic prog-trance hybrid sound so ubiquitous within today’s music scene, the “Science Friction” LP is his love letter to the genre, as well as all of the various influences that have shaped his sound over the years. 

Created over several years with a perfectionist’s attention to detail, “Science Friction” flits between moods and sonic environments with ease while retaining the cohesion of Lisene’s inimitable production style. Despite being an album, this is still very much a record for the DJs, featuring heads-down club tracks and bass-heavy electro crafted with precision and a cinematic sense of scale. For the home listeners, expansive slo-mo soundscapes and cerebral synth odysseys float high above the clouds, with widescreen details revealing themselves ever further with each re-play.

“This album has been 15 years in the making and represents a culmination of everything I’ve worked towards in defining my own sound and style without letting myself be pigeonholed. I’m immensely proud of each track -  it really reflects where I was at musically while making this, while giving a glimpse into my future sound. Attendances was born in 1987 in Ancona, a small city on the east coast of Italy. He's an Italian dj and producer influenced by different types of music, mainly progressive, trance, new wave, electrobeat, EBM, industrial, leftfield, techno, indie-dance, dark disco and electronic music.

His interesting in DJing began almost as a game and he started playing and then working in different clubs and social centres such as Thermos and Kontatto (Ancona).

During university years he began studying different softwares for the creation of sounds, producing songs intended as a photograph of the soul within the passage of time.

After several years of working in sound creation, in 2014 he started his project called "Attendances", he then created his podcast series "Retrofuture" and started publishing some songs with different labels such as Play Pal, Maleante, Esthetique and Emerald & Doreen.

In 2018 he became a member of the Italian-Spanish crew "Carajillo electronique" In 2022 he became also a member of another crew "Circuits" playing in different clubs and festivals in Italy, Spain and France such as:

Constantly striving to explore the perpetual nature of sound vibration projected through high quality sound rigs in open air environments deep within California's deserts and forests.  These vibrations are manifested through dark and eery minimal and techno soundscapes when the sun's rays cannot be seen on the earth's surface.  However, when the sun's rays cover the desert floor with radiant daytime light, the mood of the soundscapes change to light and progressive, while still having heavy and rolling techy bass lines.
