Residente da Perversie, co-idealizador da Cardinals e mais novo membro do selo paulista Neurokat, Bruno P. Rios aka Perrone foi apresentado a música desde cedo, assim se tornou multi-instrumentista pouco antes de sua adolescência, e após frequentar festas locais de sua cidade natal (Itaqui- RS) em meados de 2017, conheceu a discotecagem e busca mixar ela com a organicidade de seu lado instrumentista. Como consequência disso veio a produção, onde por influência de seus pais tenta remeter aos timbres retrôs dos anos 80, mas sem se prender à gêneros para conquistar essa vertente oitentista, utilizando tanto o ácido do techno, groove do soul, punch do new wave, baixos do indie, o dançante do house e a organicidade do disco para harmonizar suas criações.

Echoes of time sees the return of XVARR, this time to Good Morning Tapes' vinyl imprint, with extended versions of two workings from GMT13 (Serpent Power). Using sounds from early (circa 1992) experiments with metal, Past Masters captures a feeling of youthful anger and perhaps purity (or naivety). Reference to past masters is used to highlight the need to juxtapose present iterations of Self with the vitality of previously discarded versions. Also appearing on Serpent Power (GMT13) in an edited form and composed in 2018, the title track Echoes of Time was created using the Buchla Music Easel. The intended mood is one of serenity and perhaps even hope, with a view to create the sonic means by which one may transcend the trappings of linear time.

These tracks are joined by two other workings: She Healed Him in Her Sleep (originally planned for CD release in 2009), was composed after an extended trip to India, which left a profound impression on XVARR’s later creative pursuits. It explores the restorative dimension of love and the mystical role of sleep. And finally, Terminal Manoeuvre layers an improvised wistful melody over an ambient drone, designed to instil a sense of nostalgia and longing for respite from this terrestrial bondage.

With artwork from Egypte Erotique, the release is limited to 250 copies.

While sharing the same nocturnal yearnings and rhythmic lushness, Sapphire Slows summons a unique, luminescent dialect, like a prism viewed from a new angle.”

Das "Orchestre du LÖTLÄB" der Galerie Pfund & Dollar performte zum "Festival für selbstgebaute Musik" 2020 in 3 Akten auf dem RAW-Gelände in Berlin zu ihrer Elektroschrott-Sound-Installation "DE-OBSOLESZENZIATOR". Dies ist der dritte Teil.

"Die Obsoleszenz ist allgegenwärtig und doch immer nur versteckt und (zu) selten diskutiert. Als ein treibender Faktor des kapitalistischen Systems und des damit verknüpften Kreislaufs von "Neukauf und Entsorgung" anstelle von "Instandsetzung oder Nutzungsänderung" ist diese Methode der geplanten Begrenzung der Haltbarkeit diverser Produkte als quasi systemerhaltend (wegwerf-)gesellschaftlich akzeptiert bzw. kaum hinterfragt. Die Klang-Installation "De-Obsoleszenziator" führt genau diese Realitäten ad absurdum, indem dem veralteten, kaputten, ungenutzten, am Straßenrand hinterlassenen sogenannten "Elektroschrott" neues Leben in Form einer Stimme eingehaucht wird. Druckermotoren getrieben von Merklin-Trafos, die Zeit ihrer angedachten Tätigkeit kilometerweise Papier umgewalzt haben, dürfen nun an Saiten klingend in die Jahre gekommene, von TFT abgelöste Röhrenmonitorgehäuse zum schallen bringen während weggeworfene Lautsprecherboxen knopfgesteuert in von Hardware leergefegten Computergehäusen schnarren. Ob das hier entstehende Klangerlebnis als ein melodisch Schönes zu verstehen ist, wäre anzuzweifeln. Doch die Idee hinter dem von Benjamin Wiemann und Lukas Kannemann initierten Repurposing-Projekts (welches nun in der Galerie Pfund&Dollar in Hamburg in Form einer regelmäßigen Bastelsession genannt LÖTLÄB ein Zuhause findet) ist auch nicht einen wohltönenden Zusammenklang zu erzeugen sondern eher den Augenmerk auf die oben beschriebene gesellschaftliche Disharmonie und den Umgang mit den uns zur Verfügung stehenden Resourcen zu lenken."
