He was the professor of poetry for Ireland from 2007 to 2010 and is the winner of the Whitbread Poetry Prize, the T.S. Eliot Prize, the Hawthornden Prize, and the Griffen Prize. In 2015 he was honored with the Freedom of the City of Belfast.

I did this in one take, recording on Audacity. My intention was to just record it and play with it to see what I could change, I ended up just making a few mistakes and I didn't know what to do to fix them.

I should really go to a recording studio and hire people that know what they are doing.
