The Rust Music is honored to host Rumpistol for our One Year Anniversary Party on July 6, 2018 in New York City. Pure beauty and deep, fearsome mystery collide in the music of Jens Christiansen aka Rumpistol, who has been composing experimental electronic music for 15 years.

Jens was an early innovator, working with organic downtempo aesthetics that are popular today but well ahead of their time. Ahead of this performance, Jens has provided an exclusive 50-minute Rumpistol mix. He's also given The Rust an opportunity to correspond with him about inspiration, composition, performance and homeland.

Rumpistol - The Rust Music One Year Anniversary Party Mix

In the year 2020 the word foresight has especially potent meaning. Hindsight they say is 2020, and this mix aims to redirect our intentions towards the road ahead.

This mix was conceptually started as a Full Moon Library set at CoSM Chapel of Sacred Mirrors last winter. The track selection reflects the winter and spring of 2020. There was optimism for what this year had in store and the early working title of “foresight” was anticipating what promised to be an exciting creative year ahead.

The curation happened in a number of sifts in which at least 4 previous versions of this same mix were made  as it evolved over a season of refinements. The final mix was done live on a Twitch Stream in mid April with cloud oriented visuals. It was mastered in Ilum studios on the Sunshine Coast of BC. by Akhentek. Special thanks to Frogg Acuda for the Traktor S4  controller to make this on.

This music is purposefully nebulaic and lyrical. It is meant to uplift and relax. Crystal & Spore are deeply grateful to all the musicians for their offerings. We encourage you to take the tracklist and look into all the artists. All of this music is available on Bandcamp which is the platform most designed for artists to get what they deserve for what they create. Support the artists buy buying their tracks.
