After the release of her first heartfelt single earlier this year, Jay brings us her second new single “Tell Me.” The song sounds like something out of a John Carney film, starting with raw, unpolished guitar strumming, before we hear Jay’s signature piano and string arrangements. 

The lyrics are raw and vulnerable, telling a story of betrayal and broken promises, posing the disquieting question: What was I worth? You can expect to hear both singles on her second self-produced album, The Breakup Album, coming out later this year.

I consider myself more of vocalist and lyricist, than a musician. Some have asked about vocals. I don't mind putting my vocals to your music, and would love nothing more than to.

While playing the guitar I often am unplugged, play alone, and do blues lyrics to grunge or thrash-styled-music. I get most of my inspiration from life and the stories of others. A great deal of which pull at the heart, and blanket the soul.
