Drop of Rain: a beginning

Far&High, a talented duo hailing from St. Petersburg, Russia, are seeing their first ever record, a four-tracker EP titled Not Alone, to be released on Diynamic.
Opening track Alone is a gloomy but colourful Indie Dance piece, with zeitgeisty vocals and a nod to 90s Acid rave. Up next comes All I Say, a vocal collab featuring Annett, whose sultry voice floats hypnotically over the powerful beat, followed by Voyager, a retrofuturistic electro-hommage.
Closing off the Not Alone EP is Ive Got The Powder, a laid-back club tune with a classy 80s style breakdown.

Miss Monique returns with another of her high class singles, and this time the package on her label Siona Records includes a remix from Sean & Dee. Miss Monique is possibly the most recognised female Progressive House DJ in Europe and she continues to establish her fine label here with more gold.

City Nights, City Lights is a slick tune that brims with the sort of late night energy and neon lights you would expect given its title. Broad bass brings drama and the hustling and bustling drums keep things moving forward as the city narrative unfolds. Sean & Dee is an Italian DJ/producer duo based in Sorrento, Naples. They have a characteristic sound, combining influences of progressive house and techno and show that here with a remix which ups the ante, charges ahead and brings a Serengetis techno vibe. The drums are powerful, the synths are electric and the track will make a huge impact.

Each new week brings without more red hot techno from the Dear Deer crew, and this time out it is Ukrainian duo Artaria &, Jean Vayat ft. U.S vocalist Evelynka who serves up new single Sun Is Setting while Rafael Cerato remix.

The original version is a far-sighted techno track with astral synths. It gets you in a daze and has you lost in a reverie of pads and rolling kicks, while the angelic vocal floats up top and adds layers of human emotion. The remix is more tense, with edgy synths looping beneath crashing hits. Progressive, cinematic, and well designed!
