KA-YU, is back for his second outing on our Free Download series with this smooth tune 'Jupiter'. Also, we are extremely delighted to announce that he is officially a member of the growing Darker Than Wax stable. His hard-working attitude and positivity are just what we look for in an artist, and we know he is only scratching the surface of his potential. Most importantly, it's the vibe that cannot be taught - one only needs to listen to his cuts like 'Forbidden Fruit' or 'Idle Moments' and you would know exactly what we are talking about. His goal is to bring that 'feel-good' factor to his listeners and he has certainly achieved that with the warm tones of Jupiter.

Portugese producer Raez proved his ability to flip soul samples and turn them into laid back Hip-Hop grooves on his submissions for the Roy Ayers Project compilation.

In 2013 the Oporto-based beatsmith released his full-length "Connecting Miles" album on Cosmonostro. Fast-forward to 2015, he is getting ready to release his forthcoming "Remixing Miles" on Cosmonostro.

One of his most current collaborations he asks, Darker Than Wax affiliate Neguim Beats from Brazil to rework André DePriest's original version of "In This Life" (which Raez produced).

Lying in a beautiful hotel room at a seaside resort in Turkey; I snapped out of my sleep to use the bathroom. From the corner of my eye, I could see a warm orange glow diffusing from behind the curtains. As I peeped outside the horizon was beautiful.

GO BACK TO SLEEP? NO

Quickly, I got dressed, grabbed my camera and ventured through the ghostly, empty hotel to the outside terrace. 

As I ordered a Turkish Tea from the 24 hour lobby, the barman gave me a quizzical look. I chose a table perfectly positioned to watch the sunrise as it peeped above the mountains in the distance. It was probably the best tea moment of my life.
