Descendent is a champion of black culture, at home and abroad. Through songwriting and filmmaking, the Harlem-based MC seeks to illuminate and celebrate the cultural strength of the Pan-African diaspora, specifically of African American art. Starting from his hometown of Newport News, Virginia, he dives into the roots of African American storytelling: music and oral history. They become his vehicle to not only remember the history of his ancestors but also connect with the communities around him.

He believes that through history, African Americans can liberate themselves creatively and financially. And furthermore, that it can relate to African people worldwide. He follows in the footsteps of his Hip-Hop forefathers. Both musicians such as Mos Def and Tupac, but also directors like John Singleton and Spike Lee. He invites you to join him on this journey.

Descendent has toured numerous times across the United States and his work has brought him to the likes of A3C Festival, Empire State Music Festival, and Chuck D’s two radio shows "And You Don't Stop" and "Songs That Mean Something”. He regularly performs at mainstay NYC venues such as SOBs, The Shrine, Electric Bowery, The Well , Rockwood Music Hall, The Delancey, Rubulad, and Starr Bar.

Smasher a multi faceted artist who started Dj’ing at the age of 13, building a name for himself with his love of garage music.
As a teenager he joined the "Knightz of the round table" to which he was the dj, playing on pirate radio weekly "Flava fm" the group was active playing regularly in the clubs and also working under the wing of Heartless Crew following them around the club scene supporting on there HLC events this was where Smasher was learning the skill sets that would take him further.
He first started to make music on a playstation, recording his tracks to mini disc and then cutting to dub-plates. He soon quit his job and bought his first pc, and to this day i've never stopped making music he says.
In the early Grime days he would bump into Wiley in the record shop or music house, i wanted to take part so i started pressing my own tracks to vinyl and selling out the back of my car boot.
Smasher was big into Pirate radio. He held down shows on "Deja vu 92.3" for a number of years, then moved to Rinse Fm in 2009 to which he was there for 3 years. 
In 2007 he set up a recording studio in "Cable street" to which become a hub for a who's who of artists that are now very successful in the music industry today, this intern helped Smasher become a top studio engineer recording & mixing records. Fast forward to 2019 and Smasher has worked with some unbelievable amount of talent:
Giggs (Landlord album), Wiley, Wretch 32, Maverick sabre, Ghetts (Freedom of speech), Heartless crew, Devlin, Chip, j2k, Skibadee, Shabba, P.money, Klashnekoff, AJ Tracey, Lady Leshurr, Jake gosling (ed sheeran), Carl mcintosh (Loose ends), Peter andre + many many more.
2019 Has been a very productive year setting up my label "On Top Records" with my first release of the year "Rolling" receiving a fantastic response from the Garage scene with support from E.Z, Conducta, Smokey Bubblin B, Scott Garcia, Heartless crew, Cartier, Redhot + many more accompanied with video featuring the godfather "MC Creed" having hit 100k streams on Spotify independently this has spurred me on to keep the releases coming, "Drop the funk drop the bass" "Round & Round" & "Location" remix all followed through the summer, amongst DJ'ing, radio guest appearances with Scott Garcia, Smokey Bubblin B (flex fm) & Vibesy (Rinse fm) I've still found time to be very productive in the studio and finish recording my garage album "Locked In Locked On" available now.
