Dry River was founded as a guitar-harmonica duo in 2013 by Oliver Althoen and Dave Forrest in Orange County, California.  Since then, bassist Joel Helin and drummer Ruben Ordiano have joined up to make it a four piece combo.  We play mostly original songs in a variety of styles, which would probably be most easily classified as "Americana."  We also cover several Tom Waits songs and blues numbers with emphasis on artists like Skip James and Robert Johnson.  We have issued two albums, "Lost in the World" (2013) and "Prayin; for the Rain" (2016). Both albums consist exclusively of original songs; and both are available on CD Baby and elsewhere.  The songs shared here are from the earlier duo period.
