From the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, I would like to take this time to THANK EVERYONE for listening to, and commenting on all my tracks. Hello!, I'm David Gordon, a.k.a. OneAmbient4, composer of layered ambient, space ambient and electronic music. Since the 1970's when electronic music made its way into my life, starting with Switched On Bach, Tomita, JMJ, and others, I became very interested in electronic music. But then, the equipment was too expensive to own. So I waited.... Along came computers and later VSTi's and software. Also the Synths have dropped in price. With the help of others, here I am. Born in the north of the United Kingdom, I started playing when I was young.
The music I create now is mainly electronic, covering many styles. Ambient, electronic, dance and experimental styles. My influences? There are so many, to be honest. Everything from classical, electronic and dance to more experimental. The more obvious are German experimental electronic artists and a lot of well-known ambient musicians.
My inspirations are taken from the people I love and trust. It’s with their understanding and help that I am able to create music.
I was trained classically, but have been experimenting with electronics since the late 70’s,

I've become addicted to drone. Again. I was the kid with his head on the piano, listening to the overtones die away, or pressing his ear to the steel hull of the ferry, enthralled by the sounds it created. I was the kid who formed wordless songs to accompany the sound of train wheels on a long journey, or hummed along with the fan on a hot day.

In the 60s I used to play my 45s on 16, or backwards, or by hand using razor blades as stylii.

I made cut-up tapes on a cheap cassette recorder in the 70s and experimented with reel-to-reel in the 80s.

I am not a musician. I am a scavenger of sounds. I use the most basic software to process those sounds, stretching and filtering until something emerges that makes a joyful noise. Or not...

I spend about 6-8 hours a day on here in between work and sleep and I can honestly say that there is far more talent on Soundcloud than can be found on any street corner or TV show. I am very grateful for my followers support and for the many musicians I have chatted with on here. I salute those who give it their ultimate best, I applaud those who never give up and I credit DJ's, whose tireless dedication to the art of joining not one but many records together to make a party atmosphere seem like one long holiday.
I would like to thank Alex Ljung and Eric Wahlforss (the creators) for giving us Soundcloud but most of all, a chance for all musicians good or bad to unite as one and share our passion for music. By listening to most of the artists on here it has given me a real surge to do what I have loved for 40 years...make music for the world to hear. 

I hope you like the tracks I have created and I WILL flourish into a more competent musician and produce more better and durable tracks for you all to listen in the future.
