With your headphones on, visualize yourself in space, getting ready to accelerate to near speed of light, entering the wormhole, then finding yourself lost on the other side. OneAmbient4, composer of layered ambient, space ambient and electronic music. Since the 1970's when electronic music made its way into my life, starting with Switched On Bach, Tomita, JMJ, and others, I became very interested in electronic music. But then, the equipment was too expensive to own. So I waited.... Along came computers and later VSTi's and software. Also the Synths have dropped in price. With the help of others, here I am. Born in the north of the United Kingdom, I started playing when I was young.
The music I create now is mainly electronic, covering many styles. Ambient, electronic, dance and experimental styles. My influences? There are so many, to be honest. Everything from classical, electronic and dance to more experimental. The more obvious are German experimental electronic artists and a lot of well-known ambient musicians.
My inspirations are taken from the people I love and trust. It’s with their understanding and help that I am able to create music.

I've become addicted to drone. Again. I was the kid with his head on the piano, listening to the overtones die away, or pressing his ear to the steel hull of the ferry, enthralled by the sounds it created. I was the kid who formed wordless songs to accompany the sound of train wheels on a long journey, or hummed along with the fan on a hot day.

In the 60s I used to play my 45s on 16, or backwards, or by hand using razor blades as stylii.

I made cut-up tapes on a cheap cassette recorder in the 70s and experimented with reel-to-reel in the 80s.
