Review: Berlin Dark Underground OLD SCHOOL GOA

A hypnotic, peak-hour burner that fuses Berlin warehouse grit with old-school Goa psychedelia — precision-engineered by Melbourne composer-producer Kellytranscend.

First Impressions

This track is a statement piece. It’s not just another electronic outing—it’s a deliberate throwback to the underground Berlin techno basements and the old-school Goa trance era, but presented with a modern mastering polish. 

From the opening seconds, you feel pulled into a dim, strobe-lit warehouse—an atmosphere heavy with rolling basslines and hypnotic loops.



Technical Skill & Production Quality

Low-End Work: The kick drum is deep, punchy, and tuned perfectly to the bassline. It avoids muddiness—a rookie mistake many producers make—showing that Hector understands frequency separation.



Acid & Goa Influences: The 303-style squelches are authentic, morphing and evolving instead of looping flatly. They drive tension in a way that feels true to Goa trance tradition.



Layering & Atmosphere: Pads and background textures are sparse but effective, giving the track breathing space while maintaining relentless momentum. The restraint here is important: Hector knows when not to clutter.
